WHO WE ARE
We are Michael and Rose. We have always had pets in our homes. These members of our family have included guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, ferrets, rabbits, turtles, parakeets, finches, dogs, cats, and parrots, at one time or another throughout our lives. Currently, we have a Shih Tzu named Mei Ling and a Yorkshire Terrier named Lexi. Our Umbrella Cockatoo is Sir Galahad. Rosie is our Afr
ican Grey. Last but not least, our senior cat, Mosby. Our menagerie has always been warm and loving. Now we offer to share our love with your feathered family members. We understand the concerns of bird owners about predatory animals like dogs and cats because we share them, and we want you to know that your pets will be treated and protected as our own. WHAT PARROTDISE IS
Parrotdise is a parrot’s paradise. It started as a concept for our own birds; a little piece of the jungle/beach to stimulate and enrich our feathered friends; a room of their own. After seeing them thrive in this environment, we thought, “Since we have a room set aside for the birds, why not share it with others in the parrot community?” And, thus, “Parrotdise Boarding” was born. Parrotdise Boarding provides filtered water (changed several times a day), fresh fruits and veggies daily, birdie bread; a calm, safe, mentally stimulating, emotionally enriching environment; and near constant human interaction to the level where your bird is comfortable. Rest assured they will get as much supervised outside time as possible and safe. Birds are out separately or with family members. Cages are cleaned daily. We also provide daily reports along with photos. The health and safety of every bird in our care is our top priority. We pre-screen every bird before it can be boarded with us. We do everything we can to avoid the spread of avian diseases. Paperwork needed includes an annual wellness checkup certificate received within the last 6-9 months, in addition to a boarding contract. We have a smart home monitoring service, Ting, to monitor our homes electrical system for potential fire hazards. The system monitors the utility grid for faults and provides warnings. Parrotdise Boarding is bonded and insured and a member of Pet Sitters International. We are not a facility and do not offer grooming services. OUR MISSION
Parrotdise Boarding, LLC, caters to pet owners in the Albuquerque, NM, metro area. We board and provide daycare options in our home for companion birds. Unfortunately, we have limited space and personnel; therefore, we schedule on a “first come, first served” basis. We also offer pet sitting and walking services in your home for busy dog, cat, or bird owners. Sitting for other small animals is considered on a case-by-case basis. Due to space, we cannot accept extra-large birds at this time. PRICING
