While blackbirds are a natural part of Nebraska’s wildlife, they can sometimes dominate feeders and drive away smaller birds.

Here are a few tips:

✔ Try safflower seed
✔ Use feeders designed for smaller birds
✔ Offer seed in separate feeding areas
✔ Avoid large amounts of cracked corn
