EMS Week 2025 is coming to a close. It is impossible to express the gratitude we have for all of the EMS professionals here at Lifeguard Ambulance, Bay County EMS, and all across the nation for the dedication they show for their communities. Countless lives are touched every day. Paramedics and EMTs work long hours away from their loved ones, providing care to complete strangers. They dont hear the words "Thank you" nearly enough. Please join us in sending a resounding THANK YOU to them today and know that if you ever need them, they will be there at a moments notice.

Also, WE CRUSHED OUR BLOOD DONATION DRIVE!

We wrapped up our Wacky Waffle Wednesday with full bellies and smiles across the board. Today was a little bit extra special because we also got to celebrate a birthday at work. So often our EMS professionals spend holidays, birthdays, and other special dates away from the family while they care for the community. It's always awesome to see them still come together and celebrate! Happy Birthday, Brandon!

It's TACO TUESDAY!!! EMS Week activities continue with a full spread of street tacos made to order. Our leadership team is having an absolute blast taking time out to SERVE our EMS professionals that serve their community every day. If you see a first responders out and about this week, take a moment to thank them for all they do. They never expect to hear it, but we promise, it will make their entire day.

Day 2 of celebrating our crews and all that they do. Today we labeled Monday Mountains of Pasta and it definitely lived up to its name. It was great to see our on duty and off duty crews as well as their families join us. Our families are often forgotten for the support they give all of our EMS professionals. They play a HUGE part in that work/life balance. So in addition to thanking our first responders today, we shout an overwhelming THANK YOU to the families that keep us going!

EMS Week 2025 has arrived. Our crews were served up ice cold and delicious smoothies to kick off the week yesterday afternoon. These EMS professionals are there every day serving their community. We can't thank them enough for the care and compassion they show to their patients. If you see our crews out in the community today, shout a big "THANK YOU" to them! They totally deserve it and so much more.

Don't forget to stop by our station at 1430 Harrison Ave this Satruday between 10am and 2pm and donate blood! We promise to feed ya a good meal afterwards!

National EMS Week is right around the corner! While we have lots of activities planned for our crews, we want to see YOU as we wrap up the week. Stop by our station at 1430 Harrison Ave in Panama City on May 24th and give the gift of LIFE! You can schedule your donation appointment in advance or just walk in. We will be holding a cookout during the same time so we promise to feed you some delicious grilled hotdogs, hamburgers, or BBQ chicken. Last year we took in 14 donations during a similar event. Help us beat that number this year!

We had a great morning at the Science and Discovery Center in Panama City this morning! It is always fun to share about what we do with young and inquisitive minds. Who knows, this brief interaction might be the inspiring moment that brings one of them into the rewarding service to others in about 15 years. We do have to acknowledge, they were all way more interested in the lights and the sirens over anything else. That's fine, we like those too!

Our crews were out for some fun in the sun while supporting a great cause. The 2025 Parrothead Rendezvous took place in PCB and Lifeguard Ambulance was there to provide medical standby services for the event. This event was in support of The Ark, a local group that does some amazing things for the community. If you haven't heard of them, look them up! Truly a great cause!

As the sun rises this morning, we are seeing the results of last night's record breaking Florida snow storm(it feels weird even saying that). You may be tempted to get out on the roads today and see the Panama City area covered in snow. Please enjoy the wintery wonderland from HOME. The roadways are unsafe at this time. With added traffic, the soft snow will pack down into ice and take much longer to melt off. It will also result in uncontrolled sliding on the roadways. We ask that everyone stay safe, stay home, and let our first responders operate safely today. Our crews are already out assessing, we assure you, the bridges ARE NOT SAFE for regular traffic and regular roadways require skilled drivers to navigate.
