Policy Update – Walks & Wags by Josh

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a quick update to my booking policy to better serve all of my clients and ensure availability is fair for everyone.

Due to high demand and limited availability (especially for multi-pet households), I will now require a non-refundable deposit or cancellation fee for bookings canceled within 7 days of the scheduled service.

When large bookings are reserved, I often have to turn away other clients to stay within my insurance limits and provide the best care possible. Last-minute cancellations make it difficult to fill those spots on short notice.

This policy helps protect both my time and availability while continuing to provide reliable, high-quality care for your pets 🐾

I truly appreciate all of your support and understanding — I love what I do and take pride in caring for your pets like my own!

One year ago today, everything changed in seconds.

A wildfire broke out in our neighborhood, and we were called to help evacuate dogs while their owners weren’t home. Without hesitation, we jumped in and helped rescue five dogs—getting them safely out of danger and into our home.

I’ll never forget seeing flames melting fences and moving toward houses. It was fast, intense, and terrifying—but in that moment, one thing was clear: protecting pets and helping neighbors isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are.

At Walks & Wags by Josh, your pets are family. Whether it’s a daily walk or an unexpected emergency, we show up.

Grateful for this community, the neighbors who stood side by side fighting the fire, and the first responders who protected our homes. It could have been so much worse. 🙏🏼

A dog was euthanized on Dec. 18 due to the increased behavior issues. Prior to that, the dog reportedly bit someone and had stayed at a doggy daycare.
