We have some pretty Amazing Team Members! Today we are Celebrating and shouting out…..How Proud we are of our very own CVT, Melissa! She is our Lead Veterinary Technician, but most importantly and insanely great Mother and Wife, Leader, and team member that has spent 4 years at Dr. Norm’s Animal Hopsital. She passed the Florida VTNE to be a licensed Veterinary Technican today! Daily she is in the office with our patients and tech team to ensure we have the best training and knowledge for all of our patients. Help us congratulate Melissa on this amazing accomplishment!

It may not feel like it in Florida but Happy First Day of Fall 🍁🍁

As the weather cools down your pets may get a burst of energy! Our pets love cooler weather and may want to be outside more. Make sure to take a special trip to the pumpkin patch with them or stop by the office and check out our new Halloween toys 🎃

Even though it is fall; those pesky mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks are still out in full force so ensure you continue to give your pet their monthly prevention!

Happy birthday to the September babies on our team! We are celebrating 4 special people this month.

Dr. Stefanie has been an amazing addition to our team! She is an amazing doctor that has such a calming presence for your pets. When she isn’t at work you can find her with her husband and two dogs.

Darrian is one of our team members that wears many hats! You can find her greeting you and your pets as a receptionist, caring for your pet while as a kennel technician while you are out of town, and medically taking care of your pet as a veterinary technician. She is excellent in every role and loves to help your pet any time she can!

Mary is a familiar face in our hospital! She can be found in reception greeting you and your pets. She is a long term employee that we are so lucky to have. She will immediately light up every room that she walks in to. Everyone loves Mary!

Mike has been in this field as veterinary technician for many years. His knowledge and skill is an amazing contribution to our team and to the care of your pets! He ensures that every pet is comfortable and advocates for your pets continuously. We are always learning something from Mike!

We are so lucky to have each of these individuals on our team. Let’s make them feel appreciated and celebrated this month. Happy birthday!🥳

‘Tis the season for allergies!🤧

Just like for humans, our pets can experience seasonal allergies as different things begin to bloom in our area. Unfortunately for our pets (and us) our area is very high in allergens.

Due to this you may see your pet scratching more, shaking their head, sneezing, having runny eyes or nose, and overall just seem like they don’t feel great. Even pets that did not have allergies before can still develop them later on!

The good news for our pets is that we have multiple options to help treat these seasonal allergies! From oral medications to monthly injections we have options to help your pet feel good even during allergy season.

If you feel your pet is struggling with allergies please give us a call and we will be happy to schedule you an appointment with our doctors! We need to bring your pet in for an appointment to ensure we don’t have an infection as allergies can cause skin and ear infections. Then we need to discuss the best treatment option for you and your pet.

We understand allergy season can be frustrating for everyone, but we want to try and ease this burden!
