Fridays at 7:30pm we run a Gaming Class! Learn the pattern for Barrels, Poles, and more while having a great time with a wonderful group of young riders!

Yesterday, a longtime employee and boarder lost her house in a fire. Thankfully no one was hurt, but they lost all of their belongings. A friend of the family is organizing a fundraiser for them, please share if you can!

You may have met Alyssa over the years either saddling for lessons, working as day camp counselor or as a Peewee riding instructor. Her horse Cash is boarded with us, and she still works for the barn doing night-check.

We almost forgot to wish all of our APRIL babies a happy birthday!

Most horses are intentionally bred to be born in the spring-time, so there are ALOT! If you see them in the lesson aisle this week, stop and wish a “Happy Birthday” to Ruth, Lucy, Tavi, Sweetheart, George, Indy, Cowboy, Gus, Goose, Mabel, Oliver and Zydeco!

That’s too many faces to squeeze into one photo, so Zydeco is the horse pictured below! (If you take lessons with us, you may be pretty surprised to see that he can actually move fast! 😂)

It’s that time of year! FREE compost (mixture of horse manure, wood shavings and hay).

Being your own shovels and containers and help yourself! 💩🪴 We can usually load truckbeds with the skidsteer before 4pm (please call ahead to make sure we are available 708-361-7977)

Hay & grain 2x/day.
Dry lot turnout available.

We don’t always know our horse’s exact birthdays.

Not every horse has registration papers (like a birth certificate) that shows their breed, birthdate and parentage going back a few generations. Since our lesson horses were not born at our barn, we often have to rely on information from past owners, or the professional opinion of our vet.

We are lucky enough to know two March birthdays since both of these guys are registered with the AQHA. BOSTON (left) is going to be turning 37 on 3/1. While Boston is basically retired, he does make an appearance in camp or lessons if we have a particularly nervous rider. And LEE (right) will be turning 26 on 3/18. 💙
