Drinking from puddles can be deadly for dogs due to leptospirosis lurking in the water. 🦠
It’s a fact that not many pet parents are aware of but you can protect your pooch.

No matter if you live in the city, a suburb, or rural area, lepto can be found in standing water and can even contaminate soil. It only takes a sip here, and a splash there for your dog to catch this dangerous, fast-moving bacterial infection.

Working at VEG doesn’t mean you have to be an ER doctor or veterinary nurse. There are plenty of roles outside of our hospitals - in recruitment, marketing, operations and beyond - for awesome people who have a passion for helping people and their pets. 🐶🐱

Take Laura Friedman, who started at VEG as a campus recruitment manager and now focuses on leadership recruitment. She may not treat infections 🩺 or fix broken bones 🦴 but her job of recruiting our next generation of doctors is just as important - and rewarding!
