Hill Folk Homestead

Hill Folk Homestead Family farm and rabbitry located in Palmyra, TN. This policy applies to anyone who inquires, whether they have read it or not.

By inquiring about a rabbit, it is assumed that the following terms and conditions have been read and are fully agreed upon. We raise pedigreed Holland Lops and Mini Plush Lops from excellent lines. We have two separate breeding programs, each with a different purpose. We have a program that strives to meet and exceed ARBA's Standard of Perfect and we also breed beautiful, Vienna Marked Hollands t

hat have unique colorings and stunning blue eyes. While we try to maintain SOP in our show quality line, we cannot guarantee future breeding success or placement on the table.
***Reserving a rabbit:
•We accept deposits for choice kits via Venmo, PayPal, Facebook Pay, or Zelle. All payments must be made with the *Friends and Family option!* When payment has been received, the rabbit of your choosing will be reserved. Deposits are a first come first serve basis. Individual photos of each rabbit will be listed when they reach 6 weeks of age. These photos will be labeled and include the gender of the rabbit pictured. A mandatory, NON REFUNDABLE deposit of 50% must be placed on a rabbit for it to be considered reserved! The balance can be paid prior to pickup (required if working with transport) or at pickup.
•IF something were to happen to your rabbit while he/she is in my care, you will be given the option of a refund (this is the only circumstance in which we offer a refund) or you may transfer the deposit to an available or future kit. DISCLAIMER: Hill Folk Homestead reserves the right to refuse the sale of any rabbit for any reason.
***My sales policy:
•Although I have had a high success rate in accurately sexing our rabbits, human error can occur, therefore we do not guarantee gender. I sex to the best of my ability and check at a few days, at 6 weeks, and again before pickup.
•I guarantee that all rabbits leaving my care are healthy to the best of my knowledge. I am NOT responsible for any improper care of the bunny after he/she leaves my care and cannot guarantee health once they have left the premises. We are happy to help troubleshoot any problems that may arise through personal advice only. Any subsequent vet care is the responsibility of the buyer.
•The costs vary depending on fur color and eye color of our rabbits. Price range is between $75-150 for Hollands, and $200-350 for Mini Plush Lops. Rabbits can be purchased with or without pedigree.
•Our rabbits stay with their mothers until 8 weeks. We then keep them for two additional weeks to ensure they transition well to being away from mom and are not shocked by too much change at one time.
•Your rabbit will come with a sample baggy of transition feed. If you purchased the Pedigree, it will be sent to you via the email you provide to me.
•For the safety and well being of our rabbits, we run a closed rabbitry. No buyer is permitted to walk our property to see the enclosures of our animals, If you have questions or concerns about the treatment of our animals, we update our Instagram and page regularly with pictures and videos of our routines and cages.

***My Pick-up Policy
•Pick up dates will be announced at the time of open reservations. If you are working with transport or need to arrange a different date/time for pick up, that is perfectly fine. We offer a grace period of one week for pick up from the agreed upon date, after which, you forfeit your deposit and the rabbit will be listed as available for the next interested party. Again, deposits WILL NOT be refunded.
•If working with a transporter, the remaining balance owed on the rabbit must be paid IN FULL by the day prior to transport pickup. Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for the transport of their rabbit. Transport groups that we work with include Hippity Hop Express, Raisin Trails Transport, Olaf's Polar Express, and KD Farm Transports. We are no longer responsible for the health of your rabbit once it leaves with transport. IF something does happen during transport, i.e. sickness, infection, or death, a refund will not be given.

**Pick-up with ME:
•A delivery fee will be added if the established meeting location is further than 45 mins from the rabbitry (Palmyra, TN). Transport fee must be paid to us before delivery.
•When meeting for pickup, I will wait no longer than 30 minutes. After that time frame, if no contact has been made, you will forfeit all money paid toward the rabbit and it will be listed as available! All changes to meeting time need to be made 24 hours in advance.
•We will only meet in public, well lit areas for safety reasons. Please remember to bring a rabbit safe cage, or box for it to travel home with you as this is not something that we provide.

We are at a strange point in our lives and social media. I started this page years ago to share our adventures with our hobby farm....the hobby farm that has slowly dwindled and the chapter that is coming to an end. We traded our last breeding rabbit and said goodbye to our goats. I have no intentions of getting any new animals any time soon as life has simply become too busy - our priorities have shifted, and we simply aren't home as much.
We still have chickens and plans for raised beds, so there could be content...I'm just not sure when/where I'd find the time.
All of this to say, changes are coming to Hill Folk.

It has been an awful season for the goats this year. We were just talking with our goat vet yesterday about the growing resistance! If you raise goats or sheep, I recommend taking a second to read this.

As conventional dewormers are losing effectiveness in sheep and goat herds, researchers are highlighting alternative methods to deal with the issue.

Our handsome man, Nicomund, is home for a visit! He's in with the ladies for a few weeks before heading off to his new farm - we've decided to keep Binx, and I can't justify two bucks with such a small herd. I'm hoping he will give us a few kids before his departure!

Our mini lamancha (F5) buckling is almost ready for his new farm!

Thackery was born in April and dam raised with his twin. Parents are pending MDGA registration, so he is registerable, it would just be a wait. Please message if interested.
