Happy to share that I am retiring, so I won’t be taking on new clients. I’ll do my best to accommodate existing pets with whom I have a relationship, but it’s time to scale back & enjoy more time gardening, reading & traveling. ❤️

A caretaker sold his home, and thought the new owners were going to allow his outside colony to remain on the property until he got settled in Palm Beach County and could take the cats. Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding, and the new homeowner was having all the vegetation and the cat houses removed from the backyard the week he moved in. Fortunately, we were able to trap all 15 cats in one day and safely house them until they could be relocated. Whew!!

Do you know that an "ear tip" on the left ear means the cat has been spayed (female) or neutered (male)? This is a universal sign that is used by many spay/neuter programs to indicate a cat is sterilized and will not contribute to pet overpopulation. While the pet is under anesthesia, the end (tip) of the left ear is sugically removed so one ear appears flat while the other remains pointy. Ear tipping can save a cat's life, as some organizations will refuse to accept or remove ear tipped cats. In addition, it can prevent a cat from undergoing unnecessary exploratory surgery if there is no surgical scar. To quote Miami Dade Animal Service's TNR motto "It's Hip to be Tipped!"
