Milltown Animal Control

Milltown Animal Control The ACO’s are members of the police department for each of the towns they serve.

The Animal Control Officers for Palmer, Monson, and Ware respond to domestic animal related complaints and assist in investigations of animal cruelty and neglect.

During the month of May, the Professional Firefighters of Palmer are hosting a pet food drive to support Mill Towns Regional Animal Control.

The shelter is currently accepting donations of pet food, toys, and blankets (new or gently used). Monetary donations are also welcome and should be made payable to the Town of Palmer.

All donations can be dropped off at the Palmer Fire Department, located at 12 Walnut Street.

We want to give a huge thank you to the Food Truck for thinking of us and dropping off a generous donation of dog food ❤️

Lately, we’ve had a high number of dogs coming through our facility, and our budget has definitely been feeling it. Donations like this truly make a difference and help us continue providing proper care for every animal that comes through our doors. We are so grateful to be part of such a supportive and compassionate community.

This handsome guy is Odin 🐾
He was surrendered to us when his family could no longer keep him and spent just about two weeks in our care. In that time… he definitely helped himself to quite a bit of our food supply 😂 But we’re happy to share that he’ll be heading to a rescue soon and will be available for adoption!

We are so thankful for every person and business that thinks of us, it does not go unnoticed.

We’ve been BUSY lately… 🐾

We’ve had so many dogs and cats come through our doors recently, and we wanted to share just a few of them with you. Every animal that comes in gets the care, time, and attention they deserve while we work to find them the best possible outcome whether that’s reunification, transfer, or adoption.

We couldn’t do this without the support of our community 💛

A huge thank you to Brandy Madison of Monson for a generous $100 donation made in support of the animals in our care!

For those who have asked how to support us:
We do have a gift fund that donations can be made to, and we also keep an updated Amazon Wish List of items we use every single day here at the facility.

With the number of animals coming in, many arrive stressed and unsure, so we often prepare special meals to help encourage them to eat and settle in. Canned dog food has been especially helpful for this, and we are currently running low. We are also going through cleaner quickly to keep everything safe and sanitary for the animals in our care.

INMATE INTAKE: ZERO REGRETS Palmer Ma.🚨

This ridiculously cute, intact male Great Pyrenees mix-type was picked up on Park St in Palmer and is currently serving time at Mill Towns Regional Animal Control… and honestly? He seems completely unbothered by his life choices. 😅

No remorse.
No explanation.
Just vibes and a very fluffy face.
The finder did mention that he was “probably dumped” 😞

He’s safe with us, but we’re sure someone out there is missing this handsome troublemaker. If you recognize him (or if he’s yours and you’d like to bail him out), please give us a call to claim.

We have such an incredible community, and we just want to take a moment to say thank you 💙

A huge thank you to Three Rivers Fire Department for thinking of us when they received a donation of blankets and passing them along to our animals. These donations make such a difference in keeping our dogs and cats comfortable while they wait for their homes.

We are also so grateful for the recent dog food donations from the community your support truly helps us stretch our resources and continue caring for the animals that come through our doors.

And a big thank you to Tractor Supply Company in Ware Ma. for their generous donation of dog and cat food. Your kindness does not go unnoticed!

This handsome guy was found in Ware, MA and is currently safe with Mill Towns Regional Animal Control.

He is microchipped, and according to his chip, his name is Bruno. The microchip is registered to a previous owner in Warren, MA, and they don’t have contact for new owners.
