Milltown Animal Control The ACO’s are members of the police department for each of the towns they serve.

The Animal Control Officers for Palmer, Monson, and Ware respond to domestic animal related complaints and assist in investigations of animal cruelty and neglect.

Attention: Lost Cat Alert

We are deeply saddened to share that a large tiger-striped cat was found deceased on Rt. 32, near the Old Warren Rd and Flynt St area, after being struck by multiple vehicles.

We’re hoping to find the owner to provide closure, but due to the circumstances, we were unable to determine the cat’s gender.

If this could be your pet, or if you have any information that might help us, please contact Animal Control at 413-283-8792 ext 0. Thank you for helping us bring peace to this heartbreaking situation.

✅Bear is good with other dogs.
✅Neutered

Bear enjoys walks and car rides! He also loves to snuggle up with his humans. Bear has not been around cats before, so it's unclear how he'd do with a cat in the house. Bear does have a history of being protective of his property. Bear is a big fluff ball of energy waiting to join your family! We would love to find the owners of this sweet girl. It's clear that someone has owned her and loved her. Please reach out so we can know her history. We are calling her Sky. If we do not find her owners we will start reaching out to rescues to take her.

Good morning! The pups are settling in nicely and thrilled to be rid of their bitey little hitchhikers. Thank you again for all of the help and support. We couldn't do what we do without our communities.

UPDATE!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR THE OVERWHELMING SUPPORT FROM OUR COMMUNITY!! Also thanks to the amazing staff at Monson Animal Clinic for coming to treat all of the dogs. The dogs are settled in and resting. They will be transferred to our friends at Second Chance Animal Services URGENT HELP NEEDED 💔 Our hearts are breaking… Over 20 dogs were just surrendered from Ware, MA, all completely infested with fleas. They’re scared, uncomfortable, and in desperate need of relief. We’re running low on flea and tick shampoo—if anyone has any extra to spare, please consider dropping it off at the facility. These sweet souls need all the help they can get right now. 🐾 Once we’ve had a chance to evaluate them, we’ll update everyone on where they will be heading for rescue.

Please forgive the amateur video. Getting good pictures of cats is as easy as nailing jello to a wall. This extremely friendly kitty was found on three rivers road in Palmer wearing a red collar with a bell. There was no response to the paper collar. Cashew wants you to know Abe is super good with our little girl, Cashew, even though she was a little rude crawling under him. 😂 Abe has a foster home pending (yay!) and Cashew is being transferred to our good friends at Franklin County Animal Shelter on Monday so if you’re interested in potentially adopting her reach out to them directly.

Truffle and Abraham are becoming fast friends at the pound! Truffle is still available for adoption. Abraham will be available after he is neutered. Both dogs are friendly with dogs and humans of all sizes. We don't know how they feel about cats.

Sweet Tulip was nice enough to take ACO Kat for a walk today. She's a lovely dog. Very eager to learn.

Good morning from our new friend at the pound. Drifter is a very nice boy.
