This handsome Doberman recently had an unfortunate run-in with a porcupine! Thankfully, our friends at Monson Small Animal Clinic were able to remove all of the quills from both him and his little sidekick, and they’re both doing well. We’re so grateful for the excellent care they provide to the animals we serve. ❤️

As we continue caring for animals that come through our facility, we’ve gone through quite a bit of puppy and kitten formula lately. If anyone happens to have unopened puppy milk replacer or kitten milk replacer that they no longer need, or happens to come across some while out shopping, we’d certainly be able to put it to good use.

If anyone happens to have a working dehumidifier that they’re no longer using, or knows of one that may be available, please feel free to reach out to Mill Towns Regional Animal Control. We’re always happy to give gently used equipment a second life when it can help improve the environment for the animals in our care.

Update: The trap has been located!

Thank you to everyone who shared our post and helped spread the word.

Please continue to report any coyote pup sightings. We are working closely with a licensed trapper and MassWildlife to safely help these pups and give them the best chance possible.

🚨 Missing Animal Control Trap – Please Share 🚨

We are asking for the public’s help locating a large brown live animal trap that has gone missing from Chestnut Street in Monson.

Animal Control received multiple reports of a young coyote in poor health, and the trap was set in hopes of safely capturing the animal so it could receive care from a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. The trap was checked routinely, but it has since disappeared.

This trap is an important piece of equipment that not only serves Monson but is also borrowed by neighboring communities. Over the years, it has helped safely recover countless lost pets and injured animals.

Because of its size, it would have been difficult for someone to move without being noticed. We are asking anyone in the area to please check Ring cameras, security cameras, or dashcam footage that may have captured someone removing the trap.

If you have any information about its whereabouts, please contact the Monson Police Department. Even the smallest piece of information could help.

Please keep an eye out for Matcha, a flighted Quaker Parrot, who has been missing since 9:00 AM on July 1st.

🦜 Matcha is banded (owner can provide the band number for identification).

If you see her or have any information, please call 508-210-6087 immediately.

Even a possible sighting could help bring Matcha home. Please share with friends, neighbors, local bird groups, and anyone in the Ware area.
