We’re super stoked to be able to help Jax recover from muscle wasting secondary to a powerful antibiotic to treat his skin infections! He will be joining us for biweekly underwater treadmill sessions to build back up his muscles while his dedicated mom continues a customized home exercise routine for him at home! Yay Jax!

Yoshi wants to know if his NMES pads make his butt look big?! 👀

I love how proud Yoshi looks. And for good reason: he is deep pain positive! What a huge development after not having any pain response since before Fourth of July!

We have not let Hurricanes Helene or Milton slow us down! We are still taking on new rehabilitation patients in and recovery is now part of our vocabulary here in . We are as our new friend Yoshi starts his rehabilitation plan this last week in between Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. He is a joy to work with and such a love bug 🐞 ♥️. Thank you to the Wilson family for failing as a foster to this handsome boy and giving him the best chance to be strong and learn to adjust to his new lease on life with his cart fitted by !

We had one of the most special graduates this week. Miss Bella has blown through rehab and though we will miss her dearly, has been transitioned to her at home rehabilitation exercises thanks to the dedication and partnership of her parents. Bella is a true example of when you put in the work, it pays off. We will see her as a recheck in couple months to evaluate how she is maintaining her muscle mass, balance, and flexibility while out of an in-clinic program. Congratulations Bella! We will miss seeing you twice a week, but you earned this girlfriend. 🩵

Three smiling faces all happy to have started their underwater treadmill journies today!

1) Kester got in for fun as it’s been a little too hot to get him out and about as much this summer and we want to prevent any unnecessary weight gains.
2) Bella is feeling better after her warming deep tissue massage and the “feel good stuff” on Tuesday, so we got to elevate her rehabilitation program and she rocked her 6 minutes in the treadmill like she has always been a water dog (FYI: Frenchies usually sink, not swim, so they’re not known to be water lovers in general).
3) Keeva began her geriatric conditioning program to keep any OA at bay and keep her limber. She rocked her first day in canine PT like she’s always been here.

I’d say it was a successful day all around. And all enjoyed their treats. 🩶💙

Do you know what you’re getting out of seeing a certified pain management and canine rehabilitation specialist? We have many objective measurements we use when determining progress and adjusting the progress to fit every dogs needs!

Here you can see Libby measuring flexibility as Bella snoozes right through the range of motions 😅 We do these assessments with every incoming rehabilitation patient to ensure we’re targeting areas that you may not see as a problem because your dog has learned how to compensate over time. We focus on the main need for rehabilitation while ensuring the compensatory changes we identify can also addressed during their time with us.
