Update: On October 10th we said goodbye to Mark. He was a husband, father, son, brother, and was loved deeply to his core by so many people. But most of all, he was my very best friend. He had a lot of communities that he cared for, his family being his number one but as you all know he loved a good hobby. He had the motorcycle community, the goped community, the skiff club community, the spearfishing community, his work colleagues, his RuneScape buddies, and every stranger he has ever helped on the side of the road (which is actually a lot). He will be remembered for so many things, but mostly for his passion and love to live his life to the fullest. He was so very smart, articulate, handsome, sensitive, capable, passionate, respected, family oriented, traditional, and totally devoted to myself and Johnny to his core. We are expecting our second child in April who he also already deeply loved so much. My heart is shattered from the inside out after saying goodbye but boy am I thankful to have been blessed he chose me to love for the last almost 12 years. I don’t regret anything for a second, he loved me for who I was and never had me second guess it for a second. He read me like a book, and never ever raised his voice at me. I never expected a love so deep, and to be so unconditionally accepted, so thank you Mark. “The world is diminished because he is gone. But it is still a better place because he was here"
I can’t believe I’m sharing this, but my best friend Mark Saussy is fighting for his life in critical condition after a freak accident on Tuesday night. Despite being fully geared head to toe, he received a severe traumatic brain injury. If everyone could say a prayer, for our family, as we navigate the uncertainty of this situation. I pray for good news today or tomorrow after his MRI that they will tell me he will have the ability to recover. He is young strong and loved to his very core. My honey bunny today tomorrow and forever.
