PSA - If you wouldn’t drink from it, neither should they. 💧
Even if it looks clean, your dog’s water bowl can become a breeding ground for bacteria like E. coli, salmonella, and pseudomonas—especially in warm weather, after meals, or when left outside.
When water sits too long, it forms a biofilm—a slimy layer that protects bacteria and makes it harder to remove with just a rinse.
Yes, dogs are more resilient than we are when it comes to microbes—but nobody wants to drink out of a grimy bowl.
🧼 Quick rinse daily
🧽 Scrub with soap 2–3 times a week
💧 Refresh water at least once a day
Be especially vigilant with outdoor bowls, where heat, dirt, insects, and biofilm build-up happen fast.
And don’t forget—bowl material matters.
✅ Choose stainless steel, ceramic, or food-grade silicone for easier cleaning and less bacteria buildup than plastic.
Don’t be nasty. Clean the bowl.
Please refresh your dog’s water daily.
