Not all fluids are the same.💧🐾
Whether your pet receives SQ. (under the skin) or IV (into the vein) fluids depends on their condition, hydration status, and medical needs. Understanding the difference can help you better understand your pet’s treatment plan.

Your pet went home with a pressure wrap… now what? 👀🐾
Pressure wraps are commonly placed after IV catheter removal, blood draws, or injections to help minimize bleeding and swelling.
⏱️ In most cases, they should be removed within 30–60 minutes unless your veterinary team recommends otherwise.
It’s always a good idea to monitor the area at home and remove the wrap sooner if you notice:
• Swelling above or below the wrap
• Cold paw or toes
• Pain, discomfort, or excessive licking
• The wrap feels too tight
If the area continues bleeding after removal or something doesn’t seem right, contact us for guidance 💚
