In our fresh off the press Sept/October issue interviews some Appalachian Trail through hikers that he meets in Cornwall. Editor Mary Beth Lawlor met up with Slim Pickins (left) from Texas and Kevin (right) from Florida and the Caribbean at the Kent visitor station the other day. The two met at the start of the trail in Georgia 4.5 months ago....and have been hiking together ever since. Heading to Maine now. They said the best part of the experience so far for them has been meeting all of the generous and kind people along the way. People who stop to say hi and offer them a home cooked meal or a comfortable bed to sleep in for a night. We hope you enjoy Rich's piece in the current issue. Out on stands now.β
