Chicken eggs aren’t the only eggs incubating around here! Here’s two eggs laid by one of my Redfoot tortoises! They look like they are chalking over which is a good sign that they are fertile and developing. Fingers crossed!🤞
When eggs “chalk” over, they turn more white, opaque, and chalky looking. Usually it will start in a spot on top of the egg and spread over the entire egg. It’s not something I got to witness with my first round of eggs that didn’t end up developing, so this is exciting to see! It’s hard to tell in these photos but it’s definitely there!
