Winnie stayed at the emergency vets over night. And when she was able to come home I brought her to the car to my daughter and she was so happy to see her ❤️ my heart is so full

This week has been rough for babygirl Winnie . She will be 18 weeks old on Monday and is just so tiny. She was at 1.7 lb...

This week has been rough for babygirl Winnie . She will be 18 weeks old on Monday and is just so tiny. She was at 1.7 lbs and was refusing food, throwing up when she did eat.. and having sugar drops. She went to our normal vet but was back to her happy self when we got there.. but within a couple days she declined quickly. Ended up in the emergency vets office for an overnight expensive stay weighing in at 1.3 lbs.
Where blood work was taken multiple times, f***l exams were taken multiple times, X-rays were repeated, ultrasounds… everything was coming back negative. Parvo negative. Parasites negative. They thought she may have internal bleeding due to her p**p being very dark… but after looking more into over her 24 hour stay the realized she didn’t have internal bleeding. Babygirl stayed in dextrose and IV’s and some injectable anti nausea meds… which helped her bounce back thankfully! She is now home and on soft hills science diet food which she’s eating really well. She is on antibiotics to treat a GI virus is what they came up with to be going on.
When these tinies go down they go down quickly. Not eating=sugar dropping=GI issues and everything else goes down hill from there. Thankfully she is back to being her perfect self now. She has been home for about 20 hours and has maintained her sugar and as happy as can be.

Update-
Puppies have arrived for both mamas who were expecting. We have 4 babies all together. And we do have families who have been waiting on them. We won’t have any looking for homes at this time.

She’s home and a little loopy. But she did great. Welcome to retirement my beautiful mama ❤️
