Tis the season... for fried dandelions 🤤
Here is my no nonsense process- remove stems, throw in bowl with water. Put colander (with something weighted inside) on top to keep flowers submerged. Leave for 10 minutes (or longer- I've left them for an hour before). Mix seasoned flour (I add seasoned salt and garlic powder, both to taste) with milk to pancake consistency. Or a little thinner. Put dandelions on towel to dry a little, throw a handful or more into the batter and mix. Scoop them out with a fork and throw them in hot oil and leave till cooked to desire.
I find that they get bitter when the weather starts to warm more.
