Thank you for checking out Free Rein Healing. Free Rein Healing offers myofascial release and Reiki for horses and humans to improve their fluid bodies and restore them to their peak performance. Restoring fluidity translates to getting oxygen and nutrients back into injured areas which were hunkered down and unable to receive these much needed elements in order to heal from the inside out.
I’ve worked with horses for the past decade listening to where they are hunkered down through watching their movement and how they carry themselves as well as through the use of my hands. Prior to beginning to work with horses I worked in physical therapy with an emphasis in neurology, orthopedics and catastrophic injury with a speciality in manual therapy and energy techniques.
I developed a passion for manual therapy early on in my physical therapy career when I injured myself in an accident and loss use of my dominant arm/hand completely, broke multiple other bones, had bone fragments pressing on my spinal cord and my profession only took me so far. I believed there was a way through but I had no clue what it was. I attended many different manual therapy seminars, clinics, whatever I could get my hands on, eventually it was myofascial release that afforded me my life back. I feel compelled to bring this to horses and humans so that they too may regain any loss of function from trauma, injury, repetitive use/training, surgery or other insults so that they too can restore the freedom from within their very own straight jacket of living life and forming compensatory patterns one after another.
If your interested in learning more or would like to bring these modalities into your barn to offer to your horses and riders I’d gladly arrange a presentation where I educate folks about these modalities. They will participate in the presentation and learn techniques to support themselves and their horses as well as identify when they may benefit from a “tune up”. Any riders that would like to experience this far reaching modality before introducing it to their horses are more than welcome to book a human session at my Kingston office.
