I just wanted to share the love with everyone that may not get to experience the lovely serenade of the majestic and graceful Oak Toad 🤣

For the record, the phone camera can not pick up the actual note being hit here... it is a lot more eardrum piercing than this video makes it seem.... but you do get to see the weirdly shaped vocal sac pretty clear!

On todays episode of "The Toads Make Love" we have CB Eastern Narrow Mouthed Toads, Gastrophryne carolinensis, and Oak Toads, Anaxyrus quercicus.

Im not guaranteeing the Narrow Mouth tads make it, they are more of a specialized feeder and this is my first go at it, but with any luck at all, I should get these guys out of the water!

Everyone should enjoy having a Colorado River Toad in their household. They really are the goofiest of all frog species I've ever dealt with.

Healthy long term captives. They are readily taking sinking salmon pellets, as well as cuts of fish. These stay smaller than Greater Sirens, but that doesn't mean they are a small animal as an adult. Very easy to care for. Very active and each has their own personality. Let me know if you would like to get a new pet!
