Okay I am exposing myself a bit here......

What started at 16 with my first job working with wild animals turned into a lifelong passion that I'm so grateful to live out every single day.

For six years, I worked in the vet tech field, learning hands-on animal health skills that now help me guide and train my amazing team. Even though I didn't become a vet, I found a way to blend my love for animal care.

Arroyo Pet has grown into something I'm so proud of, and I cannot thank my family, friends, and local community enough who believed in me from day one.

Why do dogs nibble on their blankets? 🐶🛏️

It might look a little silly, but this behavior is often rooted in comfort and instinct. Nibbling can mimic nursing behavior from puppyhood, help soothe anxiety, or just feel good on their teeth. As long as they’re not chewing up or eating the blanket, it’s usually nothing to worry about!

💡Pro tip: If your pup is doing this a lot, make sure they have enough enrichment, comfort, and vet-checked teeth.

Beyond the Basics: How We Support Pets with Medical Needs!

When pets require medical support, our team follows clear protocols to ensure they're cared for with precision, compassion, and safety.

Tango quickly become part of our hearts-greeting us every morning and evening with the sweetest purrs and affectionate head bumps. Despite her medical needs, she radiated joy and love at every visit, reminding us how deeply resilient and loving animals can be.

Each evening, we gently administered subcutaneous fluids, making sure she received the correct dosage as directed by her vet.

We carefully logged every visit, monitored her comfort, and properly disposed of used needles and supplies to keep both her and our team safe.

Medical visits like these require trust, attention to detail, and a calm, loving presence. We're proud to provide that level of care for clients who need more than just the basics. ❤️
