Paintsville-Johnson County Animal Rescue This WAS an organization that has since closed.This IS NOT THE SHELTER! The shelter staff are great, please reach them at +1 (606) 792-6619

We are a non profit group committed to saving the stray and unwanted dogs of Johnson Co, Ky.. We have no shelter, all unwanted pets are put into a holding area at the Johnson County Highway Garage. If not rescued or adopted from the holding area within a few days they face the likelihood of euthanization. We find foster homes, provide vetting, kennels, dog houses, and food to all fosters. We rely

solely on donations from our community. If you would like to donate to help these furbabies we can always use dog food, pine shavings for bedding, etc. if you would like to make a monetary donation u may mail a check made out to PJCAR, P.O. Box 823, Paintsville, Ky 41240. If you wish, you may make your check out to Highland Vet Clinic and it will go directly to cover vetting, spaying/neutering, and emergency treatment of the animals. We also have a paypal account, [email protected] 100% of all donations will go to the care and vetting of the animals. We sincerely appreciate your support. Without you we cannot continue to be successful in saving the homeless animals of Johnson and surrounding counties.

You don’t have to read the details or look at the pictures of the terrible conditions these aniMals are facing IN THE SHELTER…. If you’ve never shared one of my posts, let THIS be the first one….. PLEASE, please share!!! PLEASE HELP THESE SHELTER ANIMALS WHO ARE LIVING IN HELL Due to incompetent management that was voted upon by YOUR elected officials, and they CONTINUE TO SUPPORT HIM. The TAXES YOU PAY, where are they going??? Clearly not to support the animals in this horrific shelter.
PLEASE HELP US DRAW NATIONAL ATTENTION. Screenshot on a conversation shows retaliation from the director of the Ky River Regional Animal Shelter. Clearly shows his intentions…because a Facebook post revealed the true hell these animals are living in that he wants to hide!
