-borrowed from a poodle groomer.
Be sure to read about a doodle coat on here too!
nice clippers
Yes the fancy clippers are nice to use, but if you don’t prep the coat correctly, it doesn’t matter how much you spent on those clippers, your cut will still look like crap.
-eye boogers
Not taking 30 seconds of your day to remove eye boogers from your dogs is cruel. That buildup can be agitating for your dog. Imagine having something hard poking your eye every day and still being comfortable.
-nails
Choosing to only have your dogs nails clipped when at the groomers (every 6-8 weeks) is choosing to have your dog be in daily pain. Dogs nails should be clipped/dremeled at least every 3 weeks for optimal comfort.
-heavy matting/pelted coats
You being vain about your dogs looks over your dogs comfort is animal abuse.
-matting
Your dog having to be shaved is absolutely your fault and not your groomer’s. It doesn’t happen overnight. It happens from you not taking care of the coat over a lengthy amount of time. A groomer refusing to de-mat is putting your dog’s comfort first.
-short cuts
Your dog doesn’t “feel sad” because they have a low maintenance haircut. That’s you putting your feelings on the dog. They probably enjoy the less hair maintenance.
-doodles
I don’t care what your breeder told you (they often tell lies just to sell their puppies). Your doodle will likely still shed, and its coat is going to be even harder to maintain than if you had just got a poodle. Plus poodles can have that same look.
-A**l glands
Your dog rubbing its butt across the floor is NOT cute. First it’s unsanitary and second that means it’s in pain and has very likely has glad issues that need to be looked into.
