It's with a heavy heart I announce the closing of witzend rabbitry. It was a hard summer with losses due to the Nevada heat but it was okay I was going to Breed again in the fall. Well unfortunately the universe had other plans and we lost rabbits due to what we suspect is a feed issue and are taking steps to try and save the 4 remaining rabbits. I'm not sure if I can even comprehend the loss of nearly my entire rabbitry. This was going to be the 1st year of breeding the rabbits I had produced. I am absolutely heartbroken over losing my favorite doe Chocolope she was not only the sweetest girl but the best mom and was hiding that wonderful Vienna marking gene responsible for the Blue eyes of many of her kits.
I am so grateful to everyone who has helped, purchased , eat or loved a rabbit from us. It was an honor.
