It is with a heavy heart that we announce our namesake, Mr. Fancy Gunsmoke aka Shane, has gone to run the fields of Heaven.

Shane has touched so many lives and was a great companion. We are devastated to see him go.

Our newest ranch hand has arrived! Mom and baby are home and healthy. We will be shuffling management positions with all these boys and look forward to announcing our return to lessons soon!

We haven’t been ghosting anyone!!!!

Okay but we know it’s been a quiet couple of months, so here’s a little update. The weather has been HOT, too hot for us to safely teach lessons. We are hoping to resume lessons in August, but are unfortunately having to play it by ear.

As if the heat hasn’t been enough, there is a MASSIVE wildfire in CA that is making the air less than suitable for riders and horses. So we are continuing to monitor that situation.

Many know, but for those who do not, we are expecting a new addition to our family in September. While we are not expecting to be down for long, we will be taking a break to enjoy our new little one and adjust to being a family of 5.

Any packages that were valid as of May 2024 will still be considered valid, once lessons resume. We appreciate everyone’s patience. We are not trying to ghost anyone or disappear.

We are simply trying to keep everyone safe during this summer season!

Anyone looking into tail bags/wraps, GSR exclusively uses Rock’N Tail Bags products for our horses! So many fun patterns, colors and totally customizable. Our young students LOVE selecting their horses’ tail wraps for the week.

We are keeping a close eye on the heatwave starting tomorrow. While we love our students and getting to teach, keeping our horses and students safe in this heat is our number one priority

Our littlest ranch hand is turning 1!!!! Gunsmoke Ranch will be closed Tuesday 05/28-06/01 while we travel to celebrate our little man.

Please expect delayed communications while we enjoy family time.

Resident good boy and old man Kane is feeling under the weather. He’s spending the weekend with his veterinary team. He’ll be taking a little time away from lessons while we get him back in shape!
