It flatters me when my horses come to me - but it makes me feel really special when they run to me! Does this always happen? No, but sometimes, I get lucky!

I was pleasantly surprised that Eazzy not only wanted to be caught but came running to me after her first pasture turnout with the herd!

Life begins outside of your comfort zone...! I did just that today.

A bike ride took me to the "adventure park." Believe me, my life is FULL of adventure, so at first I wasn't too keen on embarking on the kids' adventure rope park, but boy, oh boy, was it an adrenaline rush! I looked at the challenges ahead of me from my horse's point of view, trusted the process, and enjoyed the view between the treetops. It helped knowing that my friend and former co-worker built this ropes course; he's an expert mountain guide.

Does my horse trust me as much as I trust in today's experience?

First time out to pasture with the herd! 🌿🐴

A big first for Eazzy: her first time being turned out to pasture with the herd and getting a taste of freedom!
Eazzy and Catty got busy exploring their new surroundings, stretching their legs, kicking up heels, and, most importantly… discovering all that yummy grass! 😂🌱

I’d say Eazzy gives pasture life two hooves up! 🐴

First time turning Eazzy out to pasture with the herd! 🐴🌿

Lucky for her, she had her trusty sidekick, Catty, along for the adventure.

Before turning them loose, I walked them both down to where the really yummy grass was waiting. Why? I wanted them to discover the good stuff with me rather than immediately feeling like they had to leave me to find it. 😉

Once they were free, they wasted no time, rolling, grazing, exploring and getting to know their new surroundings.

They were clearly VERY happy out there.

The big question was… after showing Eazzy all that freedom and delicious grass, was she ever going to let me catch her again? 😂
