One of my very favorite things in this world to me is when one of my babies gets to come home for a short stay. I get to love them all over again. For me it’s never a good bye but always a see you later as I always baby sit my past puppies. This is Maggie. She was born here and will be with me for a few days.

Please remember that if you have your dog’s outside in the sun to play put dog approved sunscreen on. Do not use human sunscreen as it is toxic to them. They burn also and the sun fray’s Chocolate and red’s coats really bad. Dog’s can get skin cancer from the sun also.

Home is best. The concrete is hot. If it’s hot to your hand it’s hot to their poor feet. Love them enough to leave them home where they are safe.

Please keep in mind:

* Dogs can get sunburns and heatstroke too! Limit their exposure in the hottest parts of the day.

* You should avoid fully immersing an overheated dog in water, instead soak thier pads of their feet and give frozen treats such as frozen banana, frozen yogurt, Ice, Ice water.

* And keep an eye out for dehydration. Signs can include sunken eyes and dry mouth, gums, and nose.

* Pavement and asphalt can burn delicate paws! Injuries can happen in under 60 seconds.

* Be sure to keep your pup protected from those pesky summer bugs, too!

* As much as you want to take your dog with you for their safety leave them home.
