Aloha,
We have just decorated the store's windows using the theme "gifts from the sea". By far the greatest gift we have is kelp. There are volumes of extensive research on the benefits of kelp. Of all the products we believe can improve the health of ALL living things, it is kelp. Chickens on kelp have harder shells and firmer yolks. Kelp has been shown to help in the healing of fractures. Kelp contributes to heart health, prevents pink-eye in cattle, encourages hair and hoof and nail growth, aids in reproduction. Kelp contains the perfect balance of all the important mineral elements in an organic form. As for vitamin content, kelp is an excellent source of vitamin A and vitamin E. It is a good source of vitamin B and contains vitamin D. Our first choice for feeding kelp is free choice. This way animals can consume what they need when they need it. If free choice is not possible then sprinkle some on their food. Kelp, mixed directly into the soil, is an excellent source of minerals for the garden. For those of us with horses on kelp, our pastures receive the benefit.
