Whiskey is the perfect mix of laid-back and playful — happiest stretched out on the couch, but just as content rolling around in the grass or chasing squirrels like it’s his full-time job 🤭

He loves cats, gets along great with small dogs, and genuinely seems to think he is one of them. Whether he’s carrying around a bone, playing tag at the dog park, or just being his goofy self, he brings so much personality everywhere he goes 🦴

Mrs. Brandy is still looking for her forever home! Unfortunately, her trial adoption didn’t work out, and we now need to find her a safe place ASAP as we currently have no kennel space available.

🌟 Brandy is potty trained, crate trained, good with cats and dogs, and really deserves a home of her own!

She has so much love to give and truly deserves a home where she can settle in and be part of a family.

Meet Lux—your future sunshine-loving best friend ☀️🐶

Lux is an approximately 4-month-old Lab / American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a heart as big as her smile. She is incredibly friendly and truly believes that everyone she meets is meant to be her new best friend (and honestly… she’s not wrong).

This sweet girl loves nothing more than sunbathing outside or snuggling up on the couch after a day of play. She’s the perfect mix of playful puppy and cuddle bug 💛

Lux is also a dream when it comes to care—she does great with baths and nail trims, making her an easy addition to any home.

If you’re looking for a loving, happy pup who will bring warmth and joy into your life, Lux is your girl.

🚨 Cuteness Alert!! 🚨

Looking for a little sunshine with a wagging tail? Say hello to Phoebe 💕

Phoebe is about 5 months old and full of playful, loving energy. She’s the kind of pup who will keep you smiling all day—whether she’s chasing her tail (her absolute favorite hobby ) or going on tiny backyard “hunts” for grasshoppers and crickets.

She’s great with other dogs and cats, and she’s already crate and house trained, she’s such a smart girl! Phoebe loves squeaky toys and rope toys, and she’ll happily entertain herself… or you… for hours.

Some of her cutest quirks:
✨ Snores in her sleep (yes, really!)
✨ Makes the funniest little groans when she’s rolling on her back getting a good scratch
✨ Has the happiest personality

Phoebe deserves a loving home where she can keep being her goofy, sweet self. Sadly, her owners are moving and can’t take her with them, so they are hoping to find someone who will give her all the love she deserves 💔

⭐️ Meet Whiskey 🥃

Whiskey is a 4.5-year-old Lab x German Shepherd mix looking for a loving new home and a soft place to land.

He’s currently enrolled in a basic obedience program with Mangum K9 Services and doing wonderfully—he’s eager to learn and ready to be his very best for his future family.

💬 What his mom has to say:

Whiskey came into my life when I was a second-year PhD student, and the past three years with him have been such an adventure. He’s my gentle giant with a goofy, quirky personality, and we’ve spent countless hours walking, people-watching, and enjoying the outdoors together. He loves sunshine, rolling in the grass, and making friends—human or canine.

We’ve been through a lot, including two cruciate ligament surgeries, and he handled it all like a champ. He truly has the biggest heart and has been my constant companion.

It breaks my heart to rehome him, but I’m moving to Chicago and can’t give him the space and lifestyle he deserves, along with dealing with breed and size restrictions. Whiskey needs room to run and enjoy life, and I want nothing more than for him to have that.

He’s a sweet, mostly easygoing boy (unless there’s a squirrel nearby!) and will make an incredible companion for someone. We’re working on polishing his manners so he’s ready for his next chapter.

Brandy is such a smart and playful pup with a big personality. She’s incredibly eager to learn and has already picked up new skills in just a week. She’ll sit by the door to let you know when she needs to go potty and keeps her kennel clean, sleeping well through the night!

She LOVES toys, especially stuffed ones, and never misses the chance to carry a stick on her walks. She’s currently working on off-leash skills and is doing phenomenal

Brandy is dog-friendly, does amazing in the car, and is happiest when she’s outside. Her dream home would be with someone who loves outdoor adventures as much as she does 🌿🐾

This little ray of sunshine was found in the middle of the road in Arkansas, and she’s been lighting up our lives ever since. At just 8–9 weeks old, Lux is the sweetest, silliest puppy with a personality way bigger than her tiny paws. She is expected to mature to a small medium dog once grown!

She loves rolling around in the grass, soaking up belly rubs and attention, and stretching out in the warm sun like it’s her full-time job. Lux is confident, happy, and always ready to make you laugh with her playful antics.

She’s already started crate training and potty training and is off to a great start for such a young pup. Smart, affectionate, and full of joy, Lux is ready to bring endless love (and a little bit of puppy mischief) into her forever home.

Foster Found, Adopter NEEDED!!

We need your help 🫵🏼 Brandy needs OUT of the shelter — and we can’t do that without a committed foster!

Think you don’t have time to foster? Think again.

You do NOT have to be home all day — we know people work, have school, busy schedules, kids, travel… and we have the perfect solution. Foster dogs attend daycamp with our trainer during the week and can board with us if you go out of town — completely FREE.

You won’t spend a dime:
✔️ Food
✔️ Kennel
✔️ Collar & supplies
✔️ Training support
✔️ Daycamp & boarding

All provided.

Brandy will spend 2–3 weeks working with our trainer, and after that she’ll need a loving place to land until she’s adopted. We cannot pull her from the shelter until a foster is secured… which means more time waiting for this young girl. 💔

Strawberry is off to begin an exciting new chapter with Wright-Way Rescue! 🍓🐾

We won’t lie—we’re incredibly sad to see her go—but we are even more grateful for this amazing opportunity for Miss Strawberry to find her forever home. Unfortunately, the South can sometimes be a challenging place for dogs to get that chance, and we know Wright-Way has the tools, resources, and dedication to ensure Strawberry finds the absolute best home possible.

We’d also like to extend a huge thank you to Oxford ARC for reaching out to us all those months ago. Because of that call, Strawberry was given a second chance to step out of a stressful shelter environment and into a space where she could be rehabilitated, trained, and truly shine. We’re also deeply grateful for their continued support in helping Strawberry start this next chapter of her life with Wright-Way Rescue.

Foster or Adopter Needed!!🍓

We truly don’t understand how this girl is still waiting! Strawberry is so gentle, loving, and full of affection. She loves other dogs, lives for snuggles, and is wonderful in her crate. She’s potty-trained, has completed multiple obedience group classes, and has even started off-leash training. She does take a little time to warm up, and would do best in a calmer home.

Strawberry also comes with FREE training for life and a heart ready to belong to someone. Please help us find this deserving girl a safe, loving home — even a temporary foster can change her life. ❤️
