⚠️ Graphic content – Bladder Stones ⚠️

These are bladder stones removed from a patient, along with part of the bladder wall. Bladder stones can form over time and irritate the bladder lining, leading to inflammation, pain, and even bleeding, as you can see here. In more severe cases, they can block the urinary tract and become life-threatening.

Signs to watch for include straining to urinate, frequent attempts, accidents in the house, or blood in the urine.

If you notice any of these symptoms, it’s important to have your pet seen as soon as possible. Early detection can make a big difference in your pet’s comfort and recovery 💛

Everyone, meet Daisy!

She came to us through our emergency services after suffering a traumatic brain injury that left her unable to walk or eat and drink on her own. The road ahead was uncertain, but Dr. Mann and our team were determined to give her every chance. With weeks of dedicated care and patience, Daisy began to regain her strength. She is now walking, eating, and drinking on her own again. We are so proud of her progress. While we will miss her, we are grateful to have been part of her journey and wish her continued healing at home with her family 🐾💛

Heartworms are a serious and potentially life-threatening disease spread by mosquitoes 🐾🦟

Mississippi ranks #1 in the nation for heartworm cases, and it is so common here that our region is often a focus for heartworm research. With our warm climate, the risk never truly goes away. Heartworms live in the heart and lungs and can cause severe damage over time. Year-round heartworm prevention is the best way to keep your pet safe. Prevention is simple. Treatment is not.

Not sure what your pet needs or when they were last protected? Give us a call, and our team will help you find the best option to keep them covered and healthy 💛

This hungry boy mistook his collar for a spaghetti noodle 🍝🐶… unfortunately, not on the approved snack list.
He came in to see us, and we safely induced emesis to help remove what he shouldn’t have eaten. He also got a little talking to and hopefully learned a valuable lesson this go round.

Lola and Mia are soaking up this beautiful weather together ☀️🐶🐱

The best part? They can enjoy every minute outside without worrying about fleas, ticks, or heartworms.
Fleas and ticks aren’t just a nuisance; they can carry diseases and cause serious irritation, and heartworms (spread by mosquitoes) can be life-threatening. Keeping your pets on consistent, year-round prevention protects their health and keeps them comfortable no matter the season.

Make sure your animals are up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention so they can enjoy days like this, worry-free 💛

Recovery is a journey, and we’re here for every step 🐾💙

This sweet pup is receiving a joint flush following TPLO surgery, a procedure that helps gently remove inflammatory debris and support a cleaner, healthier joint environment. By reducing irritation within the joint, we can promote comfort, improve mobility, and help set the stage for a smoother recovery. Moments like these are all about giving our patients the best chance to heal well and get back to the happy, active lives they love.

Sometimes a little extra help is needed to bring new life into the world 🐾💗
C-sections in cats are fairly rare, but when they’re needed, they can be lifesaving for both mom and kittens. We’re happy to share that everyone is doing well and recovering comfortably.

Moments like these remind us why we love what we do.

We’re hiring a part‑time kennel worker. This position involves caring for dogs and cats, keeping their spaces clean, and helping maintain a safe, comfortable environment. Daily tasks include cleaning and sanitizing kennels, feeding and watering animals, monitoring their behavior, assisting with exercise and enrichment, and handling laundry, dishes, and general facility upkeep. The role also includes occasional interaction with pet owners, so professionalism and good communication are important.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, able to lift 50+ pounds, and willing to take on physical, sometimes messy work. Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to follow instructions are essential. Weekend and holiday availability is a must.

Please stop by our clinic to fill out an application. If you have filled out an application or shadowed before, PLEASE DO SO AGAIN. Our previous application records were lost.

This curious pup decided duck decoy weights looked a little too tasty and swallowed two 4-ounce weights 🦆⚖️🐶 Unfortunately, heavy objects like these can cause serious blockages, so surgery was the safest way to get them out.

The good news? This sweet pup is doing great and on the road to recovery! Adventures like this are a good reminder that dogs explore with their mouths, and even non-food items can quickly turn into an emergency. If you think your pet swallowed something they shouldn’t, give your vet a call right away.
