Tippy heard something about a “ball” dropping and put on her new jammies for the exciting occasion! 🎾🎉
One of MUTTS’ last adoptions of 2021, Tippy really hit the jackpot with her new family, and we’re so thankful for ALL the incredible families who chose to save a life and adopt this year. MUTTS fosters, volunteers, rescue partners and adopters made this past year truly life-saving for so many animals, and we are so deeply grateful for the chance to continue this work helping homeless animals find their families.
The MUTTS team wishes you and your four legged (or in Tippy’s case, 3-legged) family members a healthy, happy, and prosperous 2022! 🎊🦴💙🎉

💙🐾MUTTS MONDAY!🐾💙 We had such a great time teaming up with the Annapolis PetSmart for our first adoption event, and it was a huge success! 6 babies found their homes last Saturday, and we are so excited for their amazing lives ahead! Some of these guys truly went from Rags to Wags, and we are so thankful for their families choosing to adopt and save a life.

💙ARCHIE IS HOME!!!💙 After over 48 hours of his team of humans determined to bring him home, searching all hours of the day and night, Archie was successfully caught, and over the moon to see his incredible family who never rested for one minute of the search. We cannot thank Donna Darling enough, as well as Bob Swenson, Beata Kinsey, Professional pet Finders, the Prince George's County Animal Shelter for lending a trap, and all of the amazing volunteers who sacrificed their time and sleep to post fliers, fly drones, walk the woods, and allow us onto their property to look for our boy. And a huge thank you to all the local animal groups who shared his post and pulled for his quick return. We are as overjoyed to have him back safe as he is to be back in his bed surrounded by his people.
Archie is catching up on sleep and getting spoiled with Royal Farms fried chicken 🍗 (we know was the secret sauce to catching him thanks to Donna!) and though he’s hungry and exhausted, he’s in otherwise good shape. If he ever doubted it before, this old bird dog knows now he has a fierce team in his corner 💙🏠🐶

💙11 Lives Saved!!💙 This past weekend, we were honored to welcome 4 puppies, 1 senior dog and 6 kittens into the MUTTS family! 🐈🐕

All the way from Mississippi, these sweet souls arrived in Maryland on Saturday morning to start their new lives! Included in this transport was a group of puppies found in a ditch on the side of a road by a Good Samaritan who kept them safe until transport day and a senior dog whose owner had passed away. We were also thrilled to be able to help one of our long time rescue partners in Mississippi by taking in some kittens to provide relief for what has been a monsoon kitten season!

As they say, “it takes a village” and we can’t thank our community of volunteers enough for making another transport day possible, allowing these animals a second chance! Stay tuned for updates on these sweet lads and ladies! 💙🐈🐾🐕

🥁🥁Drum roll please!🥁🥁 We are SO thrilled to share, that after so patiently waiting, our special pair Sharon and Ozzie have found the most wonderful home!!!
This sweet couple had a rough start to the year, being dumped on the side of the road, and Ozzie needing to be rushed to emergency surgery to remove his severely injured eye. Thankfully, they had an incredible foster in Mississippi who helped them adjust to a life of caring and love. We were so happy to welcome them in our adoption program, and have loved every minute getting to know them. They had an amazing MD MUTTS foster who really spoiled them and embraced all the unique and fabulous qualities of the “Sharon and Ozzie” show. But, we knew the right forever home was out there.
After a couple of trials didn’t work out, at no fault of Sharon or Ozzie, we questioned how long they’d have to wait to find someone to appreciate them the way they deserve. But, when Chris from Virginia reached out about their ad on Adopt-a-Pet.com, we had a feeling it was going to be a perfect match.
Chris and her pup AJ had recently lost AJ’s furry best friend, and had a space in their home to welcome another dog in need. We’re really glad they decided to welcome TWO!
Reportedly, Sharon and Ozzie are loving Chris’s giant back yard, and have settled in with the other fur siblings of the house. We couldn’t be more ecstatic for them that they’ve found the best life they so deserve 💙 Many days of spoiling and adventures ahead for this sweet family! 🐾
