We have found that teaching anything from loose leash walking to soothing reactivity is insanely easier after teaching markers.
🟢 We always start with Yes. We keep things super easy with our five core basic commands.
🛑 Then we add No. We make the ask more difficult. If they get it right, awesome, they get the Yes and reward. Get it wrong, No and no reward. Try again!
👍 ⚠️Once they show that they understand those, we ask them to stay in commands with distractions and add Good and Ah-Ah.
Once we have those four sounds in play, we can use them to not only to teach them all the things, but also to stop them from doing stuff we don't want any them to do.
