Canine Good Citizen and Novice/Intermediate Trick Title Event November 8th At The Canine Canal!

Sign up at The Canine Canal for this event! Nanci Miller from Splashdown Sports will be conducting 3 one hour long classes where you will learn about these tests. Your pup will get the chance to show off all they know and take the test if ready! They will also learn a few tricks to go towards your pups trick title. Space is limited for this event!

This event will be held at The Canine Canal Arena 2804 St Hwy 12 Oxford

All dogs must be on a leash (no retractable leashs) Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring your pups favorite treat. All dogs must be up to date on appropriate vaccines.

Sign ups are at the salon in person. Please sign up for the event during your next appointment or stop by during business hours.

Update on the play yard! We have had a productive weekend and were able to lay 420 ft of fencing along the bottom of the fence! We are now burying it and finishing up some final touches!

A big thank you to everyone who has been helping after work to put this play yard together! We didn't quite like the clamps we got the first time and had to wait for the sturdy clamps to be delivered. We have the fencing for the under-ground barrier AND we had our second entrance barrier delivered today! As always there will be 2 barriers between the play yard and the outside. Soon we will start working on top roller bars to be put in place. We are taking every precaution to make this play yard as safe as possible before introducing dogs. In a business that deals in the safety of pets while their owner is away, we dont take shortcuts.

Its not all just dog desheds here at the salon. Occasionally, we take in an animal in need and try to do what's best. This little sweety was trapped and brought to us last night. I'm guessing it is 10 weeks old. its very thin and scared but we will be working with him/her to hopefully tame the beast and get it into a loving home!

We have alot of people asking about the progress of our HUGE dog play yard. We are still working on alot of safety measures. As you all know we expect nothing but the safest for the pups in our care. Along with our fence being 8 ft high we are also implementing top of the line safety measures. We are burying welded wire fencing along the entire edge (this takes alot of time but is 100% necessary). We will also have rolling bars at the top so nobody gets any ideas of jumping over. All the panels are secured by 3 brackets. We will also be implementing a 2 gate entry. All of this takes alot of time but we are dedicated to making it as safe as possible. As always all dogs are walked on slip leads and when introduced to the play yard all pups will be required to have a 20 ft leash as a precaution. We will keep everyone updated as we go!
