Meet Robin, our Hospital Assistant! 💙🐾

Robin has been a valued member of the East Side Animal Hospital team since July 2022. One of her favorite parts of her job is helping our patients feel safe, comfortable, and loved throughout their stay. Whether she's offering extra cuddles or a reassuring presence, Robin is dedicated to making every visit as stress-free as possible.

When she's not at the hospital, Robin enjoys spending time with her husband, Zach, and their three children, Jade, Harper, and Cortland. She also loves being outdoors, especially tending to her beautiful flower gardens, and spending time with her fur babies, Delilah and Otis.

We're so grateful to have Robin on our team and know our patients and clients appreciate her kind heart just as much as we do. Be sure to say hello the next time you see her! 💙

🎆 A friendly Fourth of July reminder from East Side Animal Hospital!

The holiday is almost here! If your pet is frightened by fireworks or needs any prescription refills, please contact us before the holiday so we can help them stay safe and comfortable.

**Holiday Hours**
Thursday, July 2: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday, July 3: **Closed**

Please don't wait until the last minute to request medications. Call us at **270-685-0839**, and we'll be happy to assist you.

Heat Advisory This Week! 🌡️🐾

With dangerously high temperatures expected this week, please take extra precautions to keep your pets safe. Heatstroke can develop quickly and become life-threatening.

Pets at higher risk include:
• Brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds like Bulldogs, Pugs, Boston Terriers, and Shih Tzus
• Black or dark-coated dogs, which can absorb more heat from the sun
• Senior pets, puppies, overweight pets, and those with underlying medical conditions

Heat Safety Tips:
🐾 Limit outdoor activity to early morning or late evening.
🐾 Always provide fresh water and plenty of shade.
🐾 Avoid hot pavement—it can burn paw pads.
🐾 Never leave your pet in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.

Signs of overheating include: excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, bright red gums, stumbling, or collapse.

If you think your pet may be overheating, move them to a cool area, offer cool (not ice-cold) water, and contact our office immediately at 270-685-0839. Prompt treatment can save lives.
