Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Nurse Assistant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care. As a Veterinary Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our animal patients while assisting in various other aspects of day to day operation.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to animals, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as directed by the veterinarian.
- Assist in running diagnostic tests and vaccinating.
- Utilize proper animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both staff and patients during examinations and treatments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and sanitation standards.
- Educate pet owners on post-operative care, nutrition, and general animal health.
- Care for boarders on the days we are closed to the public and on holidays. We have very limited space for boarding.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the clinic.
Requirements
- Excellent dog handling skills and experience with various animal restraint methods.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Be self motivated and willing to jump in and learn.
