⚡PET ANXIETY ALERT & STORM FORECAST⚡
This is the 6-hour lightning forecast from the Euro model for Wednesday, and it's a whopper. This isn’t just your average "one and done" line of storms—it has a prolonged noise window that’s going to impact a lot of us and our pets. (More on the timing/impacts at the link in the first comment)
👇 HERE IS THE CRITICAL WINDOW👇
A band of thunderstorms is forecast to stall over Central Alabama, bringing incredibly high lightning density (see that purple/max zone) that will persist for up to 6 hours - or maybe even longer.
When: 7 PM Wednesday to 1 AM Thursday in the Birmingham metro, Shelby County, Clanton, Tuscaloosa, Anniston, and Gadsden areas.
In addition, we’ll see periods of lightning and thunder late tonight for The Shoals, Decatur, and Huntsville, lasting through mid-morning Wednesday.
This is a long, persistent duration for a dog with storm anxiety.
Get the word out to as many neighbors, friends, and family with dogs as possible right now so they can prepare for this extended period of activity. They might not realize how long this will last.
Prepare for some extra pup care Wednesday night!
We're also watching for a risk of severe storms and flash flooding...that's covered in the link below!
