Hello UCF prevet students! This is Mitchell Hammock Pet Hospital. We are an AAHA accredited animal hospital and a Cat friendly practice which means we follow a strict golden standard of care for all our patients. With that said we are currently looking for volunteers or part time employees to fill positions. Here at Mitchell Hammock Pet Hospital we offer training and experience with small and exotic animals. You will learn how to do blood pressure, electrocardiograms, assisting with ultrasound, animal restraint and much more. We are looking for a can do attitude and availability on Mondays starting at 12pm and weekend availability! Our Story

30 minute Health Exams, no rush. Your pet's health (not vaccinations) are our highest priority. Because of this, we recommend a health exam every 6 months ($38.36) to detect early changes in your pet's health. This will reduce costly visits to the emergency room. We treat and recommend regular Health Exams for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and exotics. Financing is available for Preventative Health Care Packages, medical conditions, surgery, and emergencies. We are an AAHA Certified Animal Hospital and follow the American Animal Hospital Associations rigid guidelines and 900 Standards for quality health care. We are Cat Friendly Certified by the American Association of Feline Practitioners and make every effort to make your cat feel comfortable at our hospital.

For optimum health care and early prevention we recommend Wellness Testing once every 12 months. We have also found ultrasound to be a simple, economical, and effective tool to perform with a physical exam to quickly diagnose and determine if life threatening conditions are present. Ultrasound is also very helpful for preanesthesia screening, and screening senior health issues including heart disease, lung disease, liver disease, and kidney disease. We are a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians.
