Meet Myla! 💚
A chaotic little gremlin in the absolute best way possible.

Myla is a total character with a personality that fills the room. She is 4 months old and is endlessly entertaining — one moment she’s doing backflips and the next she’s curled up beside you like nothing happened. She plays fetch (but only if she starts the game), hoards her feather toys and bouncy balls, and has a passion for dramatic zoomies.

This smart girl knows her name, will greet you at the door like a dog, and follows you to the bathroom just to stare at you while you get ready — true support!

Myla loves affection on her terms — she’ll scream if picked up too much, but also absolutely lives for cuddle sessions when she’s in the mood. She’s a great mix of independent and needy, and she’ll let you know what time it is?

She’s litter trained, on a sensitive stomach diet (hard + wet food), and is working on harness training (though right now she mostly thinks it’s a weird fashion statement). She’s an active cat who needs playtime, stimulation, and ideally a companion — either a playful resident cat or her brother, Kamikaze!

Meet Cap'n – A Loyal, Smart, and Striking Companion! 💜

Cap’n is a stunning 5-year-old cattle dog mix with a heart full of love. Weighing in at 75 pounds, he’s a smart and spirited boy who’s ready to find his next adventure with an active, experienced family.

Cap’n came to us after his beloved owner passed away, and now he’s looking for a new home where he can thrive. He’s already house-trained, crate-trained, rides well in the car, and walks beautifully on a leash. True to his breed, Cap’n loves to stay active and is happiest when he has a job to do or something new to learn—but don’t worry, he’s just as happy curling up for a good snuggle after a day of fun.

He’d make a fantastic running partner or hiking buddy. Because of his size and energy level, we’re recommending a home with a fenced yard, no small children, and no cats.

Cap’n has been working hard in a board-and-train program with Midas Touch Dog Training. Like many cattle dogs, he can be protective when meeting new people. His trainer, James, will provide detailed guidance to ensure a smooth transition into his forever home. Cap’n may also try to “herd” other dogs—a common trait for his breed—so he would do best as either the only dog or with a calm, easygoing canine companion.

Cap’n’s trainers adore him and know he has so much love to give the right family. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, and active dog with tons of personality, Cap’n might just be your perfect match!

**ADORABLE ADOPTABLE OF THE DAY!!**

Meet Charlie! 🧡 Charlie is an extremely social and affectionate boy who was rescued from an outdoor colony in rural MO when his caretaker had to move away. He has never met a stranger and cannot wait to find a home where he can get all of the love and attention his little furry heart desires.

Charlie came to us with a very bad dental situation and in the process of getting him healthy, he was found to have feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). FIV is not contagious to people or to dogs. It is transmitted to other cats through blood. Charlie gets along well with other cats and could go to a home with other FIV cats or to a home with other friendly cats. He'd also love to be an only child because he loves to love. Cats with FIV live long and healthy lives and Charlie had an extensive dental once in our care. He's feeling so much better now!

Meet Levi – A Seriously Adorable Pup! 💚

Levi is a one-year-old, 41-pound bundle of charm who’s ready to find his forever family! This sweet and silly boy responds to both English and Spanish commands and is always eager to show off his smarts.

Levi loves the simple joys in life—tug toys, fetch, belly rubs, and bully sticks. He’s affectionate, playful, and thrives on attention, especially when someone calls him handsome (he knows he is!).

He gets along wonderfully with adults, kids, and other dogs of similar size or larger, making him a great fit for a variety of homes. (No cats or small animals, please.) Levi is food-motivated, walks nicely on a leash, and is learning new tricks with enthusiasm.

Because this athletic boy can clear a tall fence, he’ll need either leash walks or a secure, tall privacy fence with supervision.

Levi is thriving in his foster home and can’t wait to bring love, laughs, and tail wags to a family of his own.

Meet Mia – A Resilient, Playful, Loving Companion! 💙

Mia is a 2-year-old, 30-pound sweetheart who’s come a long way since she was found on the streets of KCK. With lots of love, patience and professional training, she’s blossomed into a confident, affectionate pup who’s ready for her forever home.

Mia loves being a ride-along buddy—she enjoys running errands, exploring home improvement stores and meeting new people (especially those with treats!). She’s gentle when taking snacks from her foster and friendly strangers, and her social confidence is growing every day.

Mia is leash-trained and has been working with professional trainers for the past 6 months to build her confidence and reduce fear-based reactions. She’s made amazing progress and knows several commands, including sit, wait, with me, come, kennel and is currently learning leave it. She’s crate-trained and happily settles in with a peanut butter Kong.

At home, Mia is a great balance of playful and calm. She loves romping in the yard, playing chase or wrestling with her foster sister, and showing off her epic zoomies before curling up in a cozy spot for a nap.

Because of her background, Mia can be protective of her resources around other dogs, but she’s making steady progress. She would thrive as an only dog or with a larger, calm, playful canine companion. She’s not a fit for homes with cats or young children.

Mia can jump a short fence, so she’ll need a home with a tall, secure privacy fence or an adopter committed to leash-walking her for potty breaks.
