Figz Dog Rescue Our mission as a small foster based rescue is to save dogs from dire situations (such as kill shelters, at risk of euthanasia) and give them hope.

We especially love to save special needs dogs that need an extra paw up.

Stuart little is still looking for his right home to adopt him. Let’s be real… Stuart is TERRIBLE at first impressions. He has a lot of fear based, under socialized behaviors he is working through at only 6 months old. Unfortunately he was kept in a yard with little to no socializing until he came to us at 5 months old. We are guessing he is some sort of chiweenie mix based on his tiny legs and long body.

Stuart is such a sweet, silly, affectionate boy once he trusts you. When he enters a new home he tends to vocalize and scurry away from anyone he sees and tries to hide. He never tries to go after people as he is just terrified but we want to set him up with success by saying no kids in the house.

If you have another dog in the house it is extremely helpful as he tends to trust people once he sees another dog trusts you. After a few hours in my house he was following me around for love and snuggles but it’s after I gave him time to adjust with my dogs and never pressured him. He LOVES to wrestle with other dogs even much larger dogs! He has been fostered with cats as well and hasn’t had any issues with them.

Stuart is really needing his forever home soon so he can start adjusting to a new routine. We know there’s the right home out there for this little weirdo that we love!

We have a cute little chihuahua mix up for adoption 🐶. Jojo is approximately 3 years old and as sweet as can be! She can be a little shy meeting new people but it doesn’t take her long at all to be their new best friend.

Jojo is good with cats and dogs but seems to prefers calmer dogs (as she tends to hide from very rambunctious dogs). She loves to give kisses and snuggle her people. Jojo will need some help with potty training in her new home while getting the new routine figured out.

Look at this beautiful Aussie mix girl we have up for adoption! Her name is Pipper and she’s approximately 8 months old and 30lbs. 🐾 She can be a little shy when meeting new people but after a few minutes is a very sweet, loving girl.

Pipper does get along with dogs but will need to go to a home free of any other animals. Her current foster has tried her with cats and farm animals but her prey drive is too strong and she would be best placed without these in a home.

This year our rescue saved over 70 dogs from kill shelters and severe neglect situations. This would not have been possible without the support from our community and beyond. Huge thank you to all of our fosters, volunteers, and donors that made this possible.

We simply could not exist without the help we receive for these rescued pups (especially our many special needs dogs we take in). Here is a collection of quite a few of our dogs we took in and rehomed this year ❤️. Three legs or one eye or blind and deaf … we love them all!

We had to take a few weeks to be able to make this post as our hearts have been broken. Our sweet old Einstein had to cross the rainbow bridge on December 8th. He came in as one of the absolute worst neglect cases we have ever seen and we weren’t sure he was even going to make it past the weekend when we took him in.

We have shared his heartbreaking intake photos in the past but decided to only put his happy photos here. We want to remember the good times he had with us. Einstein stayed with us for the last 6 months as a forever foster due to his medical needs and truly thrived during that time. He was spunky but loving and always kept us laughing.

We fell in absolute love with this old boy early on although we knew his time would be limited. We can’t thank everyone enough who helped support his care by donating funds, beds, medical supplies, food, etc. Although we will miss him forever we are so thankful his life didn’t end in the kill shelter after living a life of neglect. This is why we do what we do.

We are thrilled to share that the fundraiser hosted by Chinook Winds Casino Resort brought in a total donation of $4,688!!! We cannot express our gratitude enough that we were chosen for this event. These funds will help several last chance dogs get the care they need and deserve.

Thank you to all the volunteers that helped work the event and to Heather Hatton for nominating our nonprofit for this. We couldn’t do this without support for the community and volunteers!

Meet Freddy! Freddy is an approximately ~2-3 year old Boston Terrier mix that weighs 27lbs. Don't let his small size trick you, this boy is full of personality and just look at those ears! Freddy is ready for his new home after his neuter earlier this week. He has a shy demeanor but warms up quickly and absolutely loves everyone he meets. His foster has many animals, including but not limited to dogs, cats, and chickens, that they are working on exposing him to. So far he has done great with cats and dogs. He has an interesting play style which may take some time for dogs to get used to.

He is working on potty training, crate training, and coming out of his shell with new people. He is a typical young dog and will need continued training and socializing but so far he is such a friendly and sweet boy! With some patience and lots of love he will make the perfect buddy for hanging out at home or exploring!

Freddy is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, have a negative f***l and heartworm test. If Freddy seems like he may be a good fit for you please apply on figzdogrescue.org or email us for more information at [email protected]

Thanks to Lucky Dog Grooming and Heather Jordan we made almost $1,000 in donations for the Santa paws event 2 weeks ago!! Lucky Dog has also been taking food donations for us as well which helps keep all the fosters fed.

Mr Bear has been with us for about 3 months now and just hasn’t found his forever fit yet. He’s had a few trial homes and a few foster homes but hasn’t found his perfect Goldilocks home. If you are interested in being a foster or forever home for bear please reach out so we can chat more.

Meet Amria! She is approx 4 months old and 10lbs. She looks like a little miniature shepherd and has won all our hearts! She is a bit shy but very sweet and wants to please. She’s good with other dogs and ignores cats in her foster home.

Hello everyone! We have most of our volunteer spots filled for today but are looking for 2 more people (update now need one more person!) from 3-5pm at chinook winds casino. This event will raise money for us to keep helping dogs! All that’s required of volunteers is to help sell raffle tickets for prizes provided by the casino.
