Meet Pete!!!

Athelas is so excited to announce we have a new therapy horse! Thanks to a very generous donor, Pete has joined our team this month. He will have a few weeks of training before he starts doing lessons but please join us in welcoming Pete and feel free to give him some scratches when you are at the barn!
Pete is a 4 year old Belgian Quarter horse cross. He comes to us all the way from Kentucky!
He is quickly making new friends and has already become a barn favorite. ❤️

Pete is still looking for sponsors to cover his expenses.

🐴 Did you know that 98% of our riders at Athelas Therapeutic Riding receive financial assistance to participate in our program?
A lot of that help comes through the Cosmo's Gift Scholarship Fund, named in memory of one of the most special horses we've ever known.
Cosmo was a pillar of the Athelas team. No matter a rider's ability or background, he had a rare gift for making them feel safe, confident, and right where they belonged. We lost him almost two years ago, but his spirit lives on in every rider who comes through our doors, and in every scholarship awarded in his name.
And right now, more riders are coming through those doors than ever. We are so proud to share that ridership in our program is growing... which means the need for Cosmo's Gift is growing right along with it.
If you've ever believed that horses have the power to change lives, now is a wonderful time to help us keep that promise. A donation to Cosmo's Gift ensures that every rider who needs us can be here. 💛
