Shhhhhhh! Look what we have been doing! It is time to get outside and discover the newly installed project on the Deer Run Boardwalk Trail!

As an integral part of its mission, The Friends of Constitution Park Ossipee was pleased to work with the Ossipee Central School to enhance the “educational opportunities” that the Park can provide to the local community.

In May of 2026, students in the First and Fourth Grades at OCS, took advantage of their curriculum goals to create the 10 displays that you will see along the Deer Run boardwalk. The First Grade focused on local wildlife, while the Fourth Grade highlighted the cultural, historical and geological features of the region.

The FCPO is thrilled to showcase this wonderful collaborative effort and are especially grateful to the students and teachers, Samantha Morrill and Lisa Wheeler, for their hard work and shared knowledge.

We hope that you will take the time to read the students projects, reflect on their research and appreciate and continue the conversation with your family and friends.

This project would not have become a reality without the expertise and efforts of Bob Grazer and CJ Everson who designed and installed the signage, and the NH Charitable Foundation who awarded us a generous grant to fund it. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts.

So many new things happening at Constitution Park! While visiting the Park, be sure to walk the Deer Run boardwalk trail. We have a new project that was installed. We have published some of the lessons on wildlife, history, and the environment that the first and fourth grades from the Ossipee Central School experienced this spring. You can view their work on signage along the boardwalk.

At the platform on the shoreline, Bob Grazer and CJ Everson have created and installed a beautiful interpretive mountain view sign. Get Outside and enjoy all the free amenities that the park has to offer.

Congratulations to our raffle winner, Mary Beth Hamel, who won the sail bag at Party in the Park. Thank you to all the raffle participants for supporting our efforts.
