Special thanks to our Dairy producers! Here are some interesting facts about milk:
🥛 Why it’s White: Milk appears white because milk proteins (casein) and fat globules scatter light in all directions, reflecting all visible wavelengths.
🧈 Daily Output: An average dairy cow produces around 8 gallons (about 65 to 80 pounds) of milk per day.
🍦 Maternal Requirement: Just like humans, a cow must give birth to a calf before she can produce milk.
🧀 Protein Breakdown: The protein in cow's milk is divided into two categories: 80% casein and 20% whey.
🍼 Lactose Levels: Cow milk contains about 4.8% lactose, which is significantly less than human breast milk (which has about 7%).
