Meet Scout & Fergus! 🐾❤️

Scout and Fergus are a bonded pair of 4-year-old neutered boys looking for their forever home together! These two have been through a lot and are hoping their next home will be the one they never have to leave.

They are:
🐶 Dog friendly
🐱 Cat friendly
👧 Child friendly
🤝 Bonded
💙 Microchipped
✨ Neutered
✅ FELV/FIV negative

Scout and Fergus were adopted together in 2021 and sadly returned after the family’s dog became aggressive toward them. They have lived with a dog before, and despite that experience, both boys remain sweet and would likely do well with a calm, cat-friendly dog with proper introductions.

Scout loves treats and Fergus is a very sweet boy who loves spending time with his brother. These two are happiest together and deserve a family who will keep them safe and loved for the rest of their lives.

If you’re looking for two wonderful cats who come as a package deal, Scout & Fergus are ready to find their forever home together! 🐾❤️

Karen says—it’s ! 📣🐾

This week, Karen is helping us spread the word about some URGENT needs at the shelter! 🐶🐱💙 With so many animals in our care, we go through food quickly, and our supplies are running low.

Our current wishlist includes:

🚨 Purina Puppy Chow — URGENT
🚨 Purina Cat Chow — URGENT
🥫 Canned dog food
🥫 Canned cat food

Purina food is preferred and helps us provide consistent nutrition for the dogs and cats in our care. Every bag, can, and donation makes a difference in keeping little bellies full while they wait for their forever homes! 🐾💙

Food everywhere, dishes abandoned, sprawled out on the shelf looking like he’s questioning every decision he’s ever made… 😂😭

Sir, this is a humane society, not an after-hours club. Please pull yourself together. 🤦‍♀️🐾

Update 💔 her internal injuries were very extensive, she more than likely will not make it, but despite the state she’s in, she was VERY grateful to be with her people. ❤️‍🩹 She was shown genuine love and compassion by the people who initially picked her up, by our staff and I, and now gets to be with them.

ZOOMIES: ACTIVATED. 💨😂

Remi apparently woke up today and chose SPEED.

No destination. No plan. Just ears back, paws flying, and approximately 37 laps around the yard at a highly unreasonable rate of speed. 🤣

We’re not sure what he was running from… or toward… but judging by that face, he was having the BEST. DAY. EVER. 🥹💙

After careful observation, we can confirm:
✔️ Fluff: maximum
✔️ Blue eyes: ridiculously pretty
✔️ Brakes: questionable
✔️ Sanity during zoomies: absolutely nonexistent 😂

Remi is such a goofy, happy boy, and watching him let loose like this is impossible not to smile at. ❤️

Someone please come adopt this majestic little tornado. 🌪️🐾

Do you love animals, enjoy staying busy, and want to make a difference every day? Greater Hillsdale Humane Society is looking for a Kennel Assistant to join our team! ❤️

As a Kennel Assistant, you’ll play an important role in caring for the dogs and cats who are waiting for their forever homes. From keeping kennels clean and comfortable to feeding, caring for, and spending time with our animals, you’ll help give shelter pets the safe, happy environment they deserve.

✨ What we’re looking for:
• Someone who genuinely loves and cares about animals
• Reliable, responsible, and dependable
• Comfortable safely handling dogs and cats
• Able to work as part of a team
• Willing to tackle the not-so-glamorous parts of shelter work, too! 😉
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment where every day can look a little different
• Previous animal care or shelter experience is a plus, but a willingness to learn is just as important!
