The time has come for us to start looking for a new home for my boy. It’s not an easy decision, but he’s ready for someone who can continue bringing him along and enjoying him.
Shrimp is a 7 year old AQHA gelding, turning 8 this fall, and stands around 16 hands. He’s had about six months on the barrel pattern and has already placed in the open 3D, with plenty of room to keep improving. He hasn’t had his legs run off and is willing and eager to work. This boy has a big heart and a willing attitude. He is currently legged up and will continue to be ran until he finds his new home, his 🥕 will increase accordingly as he gets more seasoned. He’s up to date on farrier work, deworming, and Coggins, and will be due for spring vaccines.
Shrimp has a solid walk, trot, lope, and a nice stop. No buck, bite, rear, or kick. He’s been trail ridden, has tracked the roping dummy a handful of times, and has had a rope swung off him.

If you’re looking for a handy, broke gelding with experience and athletic ability, Lou checks the boxes!
Lou is an 8-year-old APHA gelding standing approximately 14.2 hands tall. He’s the kind that’s been there and done that. He has been roped off of, sorted on, trail ridden all over, and worked at the cow sale. He’s super cowy, quick-footed, and knows his job.
Lou has some really cool buttons and is very athletic, so he’s best suited for an intermediate rider and up who can take advantage of everything he offers. That said, he has previously carried an advanced youth beginner and was a perfect gentleman for them to learn on. With lessons, the rider was able to figure out his buttons and gain confidence, showing that Lou can step up or step down depending on his rider.
He’s versatile, handy, and ready to go on with his next partner—whether that’s in the arena, at the sale barn, getting a job done in the pasture, or out on the trails.

Keep showing up for those horses and you'll see the results with a soft hand. When we got Marty he wasn't hardly halter broke and nobody could lay a finger on him without him trying to kick your head off. Fast forward a couple months and now he's starting to figure this riding thing out and has really learned that people aren't all bad especially when you give him his grain or give him some neck scratches!
He's had a lot of extensive ground work done on him and desensitization to prepare him for his riding and his first trim. We thought he was ready for his first ride and well he decided he wasn't on that level yet. So we brought him back down to more ground work and a couple weeks later we tried again. With his first ride being ba****ck!! This horse will now do anything and go over anything you point him to. We just keep showing up for him and letting him know that we're his friend not enemy. He's still green and has a ways to go, but he's getting fancier and trusting more everyday!
