Tiny dog. Big heart.

Her personality shone brightly even in her last days and I loved her very much.

There is always a void in my heart when a senior pet departs this world. They are all so special and we spend a lot of time together while they’re with us. They feel like home to me after even just a short while, let alone in the long term.

RIP Lacey bug. You were a good girl. I’ll always remember you and your sister Lilly who passed before you. Peace be with you, mighty dog.

Not everyone can take off work midday, but that doesn’t stop pet stuff from coming up and sometimes, you may find you need a helping hand.

Did you know Paw Prints Pet Services offers pet taxi services?

Most of my taxi services involve escorting clients to and from local vet appointments, such as Mahaska Veterinary Clinic, Oskaloosa Small Animal Veterinary Clinic, and Animal Health Center of Oskaloosa.

I pick up the pet from their home, usually go into the appointment with the pet being seen, take thorough notes, pick up meds (and give first doses if needed), and relay all of the vital info to pet parent once the show is over, bringing the pet back home once everything is finished.

If you find yourself in need of a pet taxi, send me a message! I will go up to 25 miles for pickup and drop off services (about as far as Oskaloosa to Knoxville).

My name is Hailey Van Weelden and I offer pet sitting and dog walking services in Oskaloosa and the surrounding communities.

I’ve been in this business for over a decade, caring for dogs, cats, horses, snakes, fish, birds, and more. I come with a wealth of knowledge, compassion, (and pet sitting insurance!). Prior to focusing on my business full time, I worked as a vet tech at a local veterinary clinic, as a caretaker at a local animal shelter, and I currently own my own dog grooming salon in rural Oskaloosa (Faerie Dog Grooming Salon).
