Warm Hearts Bun Warmers

I have this stunning Maine C**n mix named Barley who needs to be in a home as the only cat. He doesn't get along with female cats for sure... he has a best friend that is a hellion boy but I don't know if he will tolerate other males. He is neutered, had his rabies vaccine and been flea treated multiple times. When brought in as a friendly outdoor cat he was matted and thin and covered in fleas. He is getting in his full tortie long fur now and has turquoise eyes. He LOVES people and is a cuddler and a talker. We adore this boy but I won't give up my female cat. Must have vet references and be willing and able to keep up his flea treatments and grooming.

A year since losing my Mom and I miss her so much! On my last visit the month before she left us, I brought my kitten to spend time with her. She named her Daisy. It was a nice 3 weeks. Right after we left to go home, Mom fell and passed away a month later. Immediately monarch butterflies were everywhere... on my doorbell camera, my windshield, following me to my car... and Daisy's eyes turned bright orange. Is it a sign? Do I believe in these things? I want to! Daisy Mae is a special part of my life now. My friend did this tribute drawing for me.

Needed food and supplies this month in an Amazon wish list. It can be edited and just represents the items we need to keep caring for the animals. At present I am down to 8 cats, 7 dogs, 5 bunnies and 2 Guinea pigs. 2 dogs will be going into another rescue within a month as well as 3 more cats. I can't afford to keep up anymore so will be ultimately selling my home and moving into an apartment.

With a little luck I can start sewing again in October! Please check in at www.facebook.com/warmheartssanctuary to see the progress on the rescue and cleanup from Irma. I will need to start selling warmers, blankets, and pillow cases to support the animals beginning this fall as my fixed income won't cover their food and vet costs!

I am working to open a small animal sanctuary in central Florida near Ocala. I primarily rescue house rabbits, although I also have a special love for cats, dogs & other small animals.

Never fear! Bun warmers still exist! I am in the middle of relocating from Wisconsin to central Florida in early July! I am opening a Small Animal Sanctuary by the same name Warm Hearts) so Bun Warmers will hopefully help to offset our expenses as well as other items like bibs for disabled bunnies. As soon as I'm settled I'll be sewing again soon. Thank you for your patience!

Wonderful news!!!

Omg this bun warmer came in use at the emergency of our rescue bunny having surprise babies :') the warmer definitely is helping us keep them warm were helping our new mom she had them randomly in our kitchen on the cold floor and the bun warmer is saving their lives right now :)

I have just decided to close "Bun Warmers". No matter what I do, I cannot live up to the expectations of my customers. I don't make any money from them as I donate most of it. I also order special fabrics that are often then decided against... or a hem isn't done the way someone wanted or something else that most people would charge triple what I charge for. The stress of these orders has kept me from wanting to sew. I'll admit it. I feel that I will never be "good enough" at what I love doing. I started this to raise money for rescues and have ended up spending way too much. I am going to sell off my fabrics, give the proceeds to the rescue I promised sales to, and hang up my sewing machine except to do fun things and gifts for people who won't judge that I did not go to a fashion institute. I am self taught and if you don't like what I do, don't buy it. I also don't charge enough for postage and it's killing me. I buy boxes, tape, tissue, labels, stickers for the packaging, and business cards but don't pass on that cost. I'm sorry to those I've let down.
