From before I could remember.. I’ve loved them. The connection and utter calmness my soul receives when I am timing a horse into a gait is not even transmissible nor recognizable to most minds. And I often have to stop myself to appreciate every millisecond of all of it to remember how grateful I am that god offered me this gift and thst I subconsciously in one moment of time was smart enough to accept it. Just a reminder to thank god everyday for every f@*^% 💕

I use a similar diagram ( often drawn in the sand during lessons lol) for clients when explaining what gait their horse is currently performing, where we are setting our goal for, and how we get there. Although this doesn’t show every gait, it is a very good example especially when you are not familiar with gaited horses. It’s a long journey but worth it in the end 🙂

This foxtrotter mare I have in training has been nothing but an absolute joy to work with. She has so much heart and a solid work ethic. Truly an honest horse that I appreciate working with. Its a Good Friday ❤️

Most young horses that come in to be started or restarted often will learn their basics in a side pull on long lines and then under saddle to curb miscommunication and help develop essential balance under saddle with more focus. Minnie is as sweet as they come and has taken every step willingly. Im excited to transition her into bit work over the next month.

17 inch Tucker Highplains model in a beautiful dark red Havana with brass fittings. Saddle is set up with the Tucker Enduro Rigging balance system which mimics center rigging but much easier to use. Three different sized Tucker enduro girths are included for all sized horses. Medium tree, fits many gaited breeds great! Just doesn’t fit anything I own right now. They run $1599 new asking $1250 which includes $400 in girths and rigging.

Many reasons why I love working with Rocky Mountain horses is they are so laid back, intelligent, and sweet. This little girl came in very trotty and lazy. But two weeks in and we are seeing some gait. And every second of her gait work has been in a snaffle and barefoot. As always 😊

Wow it’s been almost two years since I’ve posted on my business page! As many of you know I am a long time public health employee and the last year and a half has been beyond challenging trying to balance both professions. I am happy to say that good things are on the horizon for KS Gaited Horses! Thank you to all of my friends, clients, students, and the entire gaited community for the support. Please feel free to reach out again if you would like to set up or host a single/group lesson, mini clinic (less than 6 horses), traditional clinic, or if you need a tune up/work on your horse. We are booking up for spring 2022 with limited openings left but still have some this fall yet 😊 happy trails everyone and stay tuned! 😃

Sometimes he’s a bu****le and drags you across a paddock because spray bottles are absolutely going to eat him whole.... and today? Well today Duke almost conquered his fear of the demon mist that comes from that bottle and got a tangle free mane and tail. Maybe the showsheen will help his confidence since he obviously knows how beautiful he is. Look at that sparkling black beauty!
