Thomas does not want to participate in this weather. And neither do a lot of dogs.

We aren't going to sugarcoat it - the temps coming up can be deadly for animals. Please supervise your dog at all times if they are outside. Paws can freeze in seconds even for a quick potty break. They may not want to p**p outside and they may try to hold it and possibly have an accident inside. It's not their fault - when paws freeze it can be literally impossible for them to move due to numbness and/or pain. Even if your dog is typically outside most of the time, bring them in tonight and through the weekend and keep outdoor time to a minimum.

If you see a domestic animal outside and in danger of succumbing to the cold, please notify your local law enforcement immediately. You could save a life.

Some of us won’t make it to midnight, and that’s perfectly fine. Comfort, warmth, and a quiet couch can feel better than any countdown. Ending the year surrounded by love, pets, and peace is its own kind of celebration.

Dogs don’t care about fireworks or clocks, they care about being close. Pet companionship brings calm, emotional comfort, and a sense of safety that helps us truly rest. After a long year, choosing rest, mental health, and simple happiness matters more than staying up late.

So here’s to early nights, full hearts, and starting the new year well rested. Celebrate in your own way, love your pets, and welcome the year with gratitude and calm.

It’s Monday Bunday and today’s special bunny is Lana! She’s an adorable 5-month old who is super sweet and social. Lana would make a wonderful companion for both children and adults. Her affectionate personality would make her an excellent first time bunny as well. She is super outgoing and will jump right into your lap. She also loves to cuddle! She can't wait to meet you and go to her forever home.
