We’re thrilled to share that sweet Snickers is back home safe and sound! Thanks to his microchip, we were able to quickly contact his family and reunite them. He’s now right where he belongs—safe, loved, and home. ❤️ A huge thank you to the amazing woman who brought Snickers into the clinic—we’re so grateful for your kindness!

This is a powerful reminder of how important it is to microchip your pets and just as importantly, to keep that information up to date. It truly makes all the difference in moments like these.

As the weather warms-up, here is an important reminder for all pet owners:
Never leave your pet unattended in a parked car! Even on a mild day, temperatures inside a vehicle can rise rapidly—putting your pet at risk of heatstroke, serious illness, or even death.
🚗 Cracking the windows does not help.
🌳 Parking in the shade does not make it safe.
🏠 If your pet can’t go with you, it’s best to leave them at home.
Let’s keep our furry friends safe this season! 🐶🐱

This is a friendly reminder that construction season is well underway in north Oakland County and the Pine K**b concert season is fast approaching. There are a number of ongoing and pop-up construction and maintenance activities on the major highways and roadways in our area causing travel delays. Please check travel times frequently to ensure we can service your pet as scheduled. Late arrival may result in the need to reschedule your pet’s appointment.

Due to the reality of counterfeit medications and outside pharmacy mistakes on our patient’s medication’s, we are making the following policy change: we will no longer remotely process outside pharmacy prescriptions. This includes online requests (non Baylis Animal Hospital online pharmacy), faxed requests or phone- in prescriptions or authorizations. We will ALWAYS provide a written prescription at no charge to those that choose not to purchase from us directly in house or our online pharmacy; this will require picking up in person at our facility. We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation. Our team is ready to answer any questions that you may have!

🐾 Cold Weather Tips for Your Pets! 🐾❄️

As the temperature drops, it’s important to keep our furry friends safe and warm! Here are a few tips to help your pets stay comfortable during the colder months:

🧣 Keep them cozy – Provide warm bedding and consider a pet sweater for short-haired breeds.
🚶‍♂️ Limit outdoor time – Avoid long walks in freezing temps, and always dry off wet paws afterward.
🐕 Keep them hydrated – Even in winter, make sure your pet has access to fresh water at all times.
🐾 Watch out for toxic substances – Salt and antifreeze can be harmful, so wipe paws and coat off after walks.
