We’re looking for our next Dogs of the Month!

Over the past year, this monthly contest has helped raise over $40,000 for hundreds of rescues nationwide — and your dog could be featured next.

How to Enter:

1️⃣ Post a photo of your dog in the comments below
Dogs only — no people, please!

2️⃣ Include your dog’s name

3️⃣ Tell us which rescue you’d like your dog to support

📅 Entries close at the end of the day Monday, June 1st — don’t wait!

Winners will receive:

✔ Their dog featured on our treat bags
✔ A spot on our website as a Fundraising Ambassador
✔ $5 donated to their chosen rescue for every bag sold

Any rescue is eligible — it does NOT have to be one we currently support.

💛 Meet Bubba Gump — Our Big Hearted Underdog 💛

Bubba Gump is a 5 year old, 60 pound lovebug who has fought hard for his second chance. After spending years tied to a tree with almost no care, he’s finally discovering what it means to be safe, warm, and adored. Today, Bubba lives for soft blankets, belly rubs, toys, and curling up with his foster family. He soaks up affection like he’s making up for lost time.

Bubba is goofy, playful, and full of personality. He loves toys, balls, and any game that lets him show off his silly side. When playtime winds down, he becomes a world class snuggler who wants nothing more than to press his big head against his people and relax.

Car rides? Bubba thinks they’re the best. He may wiggle, window lick, or investigate every cupholder at first, but with a buddy sitting next to him, he settles in and enjoys the adventure.

He’s still learning the finer points of indoor life. Bubba is very close to fully potty trained, but he sometimes mistakes soft, nestable items—blankets, rugs, dog beds, even the couch—as potty spots. With supervision and those items picked up, he does beautifully. Consistency and structure will help him continue to succeed.

Health wise, Bubba has a few manageable needs:
• Daily eye drops for dry eye (he’s a champ about it, especially with treats)
• Skin allergies managed with medication and weekly baths (which he actually enjoys!)

Bubba is a strong boy who thinks he’s 15 pounds, not 60. Because of his enthusiasm, he needs a home without children. He can coexist with other dogs but sometimes likes to be the boss, so a confident handler and clear guidance are key.
Bubba didn’t get much love early in life, so now he gives it with his whole heart. He’s resilient, affectionate, eager to learn, and ready for a home that understands him. The right dog savvy person will see what we see: a loyal, hilarious, deeply loving companion who just needs someone to believe in him.

Bubba Gump is waiting for his person — the one who sees past his rough beginning and recognizes the incredible dog he is. 💛🐾

💜 Meet Lavender Hope — Gentle, Grateful, and Ready for Her Forever Home 💜

Lavender Hope is a 4‑year‑old English Bulldog/Pitbull mix, about 45 lbs, with the softest eyes and a heart that has stayed tender despite everything she’s been through.

She was found wandering the streets — abandoned, emaciated, and clearly unfamiliar with kindness. The shelter staff named her Lavender Hope because even in her fragile state, she radiated gentleness and trust.

After receiving the care she desperately needed, she came to BHNW and into a loving foster home… and she has truly blossomed.

🌿 Her Personality
Lavender is gentle, loving, and deeply devoted. If there’s one word that captures her, it’s GRATEFUL. She seems to understand she’s been given a second chance and meets it with quiet loyalty. After spending too much of her early life alone, she now wants nothing more than to stay close to her person.

She has a playful streak — she’ll happily chase toys and “fetch”… minus the part where she brings it back. She enjoys walks and does well on leash. At home, she’s easygoing: no shoe‑chewing, though she may shred a cardboard box if she has extra energy. A little exercise keeps her balanced and content.

🏡 What She Needs
Lavender does best on a consistent potty schedule and prefers a bit of company when she goes outside. She loves car rides (the closer to you, the better!) and will curl up beside you at the end of the day.

She’s wonderful with kids, but her excited wiggles can be bouncy, so a home with children 10+ is ideal. With her energy, she’d thrive in a home with a fenced yard to run and play. She’s not a fan of loud noises, so a calm, loving home is perfect for her.

This darling 4‑year‑old English Bulldog is searching for a home where she can shine as the one and only furry queen. With her gentle nature, soft snorts, and deeply loyal heart, Winni Mae is the kind of dog who makes every day feel warmer, sweeter, and a little more magical.
